Kendrick is a completely different pitcher from a few years ago. As long as he doesn't nibble, he realizes he doesn't need to fear contact, and he does great. And he stopped using the damn cutter so much, I hate that pitch, and added in the changeup. He has driven me nuts over the years but I think he has finally figured it out.

Even Keith Law believes he's the real deal now. Crazy.

I remember when he used to have a sinker. Man that sinker sucked. So glad he changed for the better.

he still throws it just not nearly as often. now he's a 4 pitch guy which is definitely advantages and he gets to workout with Hamels and his nasty change-up all the time. Dubee is great at working with guys on that pitch. i remember Doc talking about how Dubee really helped him out in that regard.

This team can only beat the Mets and Marlins pretty much.

Nice to see the phillies hitting homers but it would be nice if people would be on. It seems like every homer recently is a solo shot.

I guess that's what happens when your team OBP is 25th in baseball.

It would be nice if this team can beat other opponents besides the Mets and Marlins.

lets sweep the marlins, getting to .500 in the process, and then worry about other teams.

Cole Hamels had the best at bat of the night. Keep swinging away guys. Wouldn't want to try to have quality at bats. Once again the record is saved by playing against bad teams. Wasting time.

Even Sarge sounded like he was sick of them after the end of the last inning.

Amaro inserted 3 guys into the lineup this year.

Michael Young - no power, most DPs in the majors
Ben Revere - .208 BA, .248 OBP
Delmon Young - Yeah, he sucks

Wow, Ruben, take a bow.

One hit in the ninth inning against the worst team in the league and all of baseball

But what are we supposed to do if we can't hit the homerz? This baseball thing is impossible. I keep swinging at it but I keep missing. I don't understand

I want to slap these fools upside the head. So frustrating.

I honestly dont care anymore, until chuck and ruben are gone. They are just so painful to watch, and the way they are playing those two probably wont last the season.

Two steps towards .500 and then one step back.

Halladay needs to be either sent down or put on the DL, something is wrong. Morgan can take his spot. I can't stand seeing this continue. Enough already.

I missed the top of the first and assumed I missed the worst of it. Surprisingly, I was wrong.

Yeah its pretty shocking. Went from winning Cy Young and finishing second in back to back years. To struggling last year. To crap this year. I can't think of a bigger/quicker fall from prominence not related to steroids or other cheating (Brady Anderson/Albert Belle/Greg Vaughn/etc).

[John R. Finger ‏@jrfingerCSN 1m

Likely wont make next start. Says shoulder has hurt since after the game vs. Pittsburgh]

Halladay, I love you but that was really selfish. You hurt your team when you knew there was a problem. Two starts wasted cause he refused to admit the issue. Really not cool.

And shame on whoever else knew this and let it continue. Embarrassing.
