Typical breakdown...
It said "All to Manchester," which made me assume that they were all actually staying there, my mistake.

Also, I don't think the Kings have a true affiliation with Bakersfield, do they? I thought that the Munce situation was just a one-time loan.

They'll all head to the Monarchs Camp (report on Sunday, hit the ice on Monday) then either stay or be sent to Reading/Bakersfield.

In the past, they've only had one slot in Reading for a goalie, but have sent more there. It just gets crowded...

They have a loose agreement with Bakersfield. They've sent Fukufuji, Neilson, James and Munce (maybe others?) there in the past...

It was nice to see Bernier get a little NHL time before being sent down last night.

As far as I can see based on the list:

Buckley, Brenden
Clarke, Noah
Dallman, Kevin
Giuliano, Jeff
Harrold, Peter
Ivanans, Raitis
Jackman, Tim
Kopitar, Anze
Lukacevic, Ned
O'Sullivan, Patrick
Pushkarev, Konstantin
Roussin, Dany
Ryan, Matt

EDIT: Gauthier's actually gone...I think Moulson is still there, too.

Based on this list maybe Kopitar and O'Sullivan have a legit shot of making the team. Dallman, Giuliano, Ivanans and maybe Jackman have an outside chance(less than 50%). The rest should be sent soon after the remaining pre-season games.

Yeah, so the final decision at forward comes down to Clarke, Moulson, Kopitar, Ivanans, Tuoknen and O'Sullivan. But with McCauley maybe starting on IR, one of these guys might stay up. We all know Tuk's is probably headed down, don't know if the Kings want to risk keeping Kopitar up only b/c McCauley is hurt. I think that they will all get sent down except O'Sullivan and maybe Clarke, since he is a vet, until McCauley returns. They can afford to scratch Clakre. Kings already have, what 14 forwards, with O'Sullivan and McCauley.

On D, we all know it's between Dalhman and Weaver.

in his defense though... he DID manage to make the first couple of cuts. by what i thought about him after seeing him at prospects camp, i would've sworn he would have been sacked outright.

But in all seriousness, unless he puts up a bunch of points in Manchester this year, he is going to get leap-frogged by a ton of other forwards (if they haven't leaped him already).

Conroy
Frolov
Cammalleri
Belanger
Armstrong
Thornton
Avery
Brown
Kostopoulos
McCauley
Cowan
Willsie

Those 12 are locks.

O'Sullivan
Clarke
Kopitar
Parros
Moulson
Ivanans

Those six are fighting for two spots, three if McCauley starts the year on IR.

I imagine Tukonen will be kept in LA until he's ready to play. Same with Petiot. They've done it before coming out of camp. I'm pretty sure they've done that with guys like Aulin and Flinn. Different management at the time though.

Interesting that Clarke and Moulson are still there. Good for them.

Yeah, but those are 12 solid spots with maybe TK and Cowan the only non everyday players. So really, one full time spot is open and one part time open spot. So you figure either O'Sully or Kopitar gets that one and Parros or Ivanans gets the part time one, switching out with TK and Cowan. Kings wont sit O'Sully or Kopitar.

Even if O'Sully makes it, then either Cowan or Tk, and either Parros or Ivanans sits healthy.

Give me O'Sullivan and Kopitar in the starting lineup over TK and Cowan any day.

3rd and 4th line players get 3rd and fourth line minutes.

You know that Kopitar and O'Sullivan most likely won't be on the 3rd and 4th lines if they make the team, so I don't know what you're getting at.

That's why the lines should be:

O'Sullivan-Conroy-Cammalleri
Frolov-Kopitar-Brown
Thornton-McCauley-Willsie
Avery-Belanger-Armstrong

So if you that's what you were hinting at, I agree with you.

On an unrelated note, Jeff Tambellini has been the star and the talk of the Isles training camp...

It's not an either/or situation...Kopitar won't be playing over Kosto and Sully won't be playing over Cowan.

If Anze and Sully make it, they'll be top-six; Kosto and Cowan will be bottom-six.
