Any place you guys recommend eating/drinking before the game in Ottawa. Planing on getting to Ottawa around 3 to pickup the tickets at an outlet and then eating before heading out to the game

Try the market downtown. Nice atmosphere, plenty of patios.

You can also try any of the Local Heroes. Mediocre grub, but they have shuttles that go to and from the game.

Either the Byward Market or somewhere on Preston Street. If you also like having a wide selection of beer, I would recommend Pub Italia on Preston Street. There are about 200 different kinds of beer from all around the world there.

I hope you make it, but I doubt you will before the start.

I live less than an hour away and that would be pushing it just because of the traffic near Kanata.

Same here. I was at the game sitting in section 113 but I was fairly disappointed with the amount of Habs fans. It didn't seem too bad when I was still in the parking lot but once we got inside, I saw we were at most 15-20% of the entire crowd. That was easy to spot once Bourque scored to make it 1-1.

Unfortunately we weren't heard at all, and you can't blame us. Not only were we in a large minority, but we also didn't have anything to cheer about.

I'm disappointed, but I'm also fired up for the rest of the series and I'm thinking of going to Montreal for Game 5.

Hope you still had a good time.

I've seen more hab fans at scotia during the regular season. Why is that? Short notice? Ticket Prices? Lack of faith for this team?

Tickets went on sale before they knew their opponent. Had the series been determined beforehand, you would have probably seen a 60/40 split.

As a Sens fan I was pleasantly suprised by the limited amount of Habs fans...

The reason there are more Montreal fans during the season are individual game tickets are advertised long in advance, schedule out way before.

Sens playoff tickets were on sale for a couple days before knowing the opponent, plus season seat owners...

Yeah, Ottawa clinched a playoff spot with a couple games to spare, which meant quite a few days to sell tickets before anyone had any idea who the opponent would be. Also, Washington, Boston and Pittsburgh all looked like the most realistic opponents, until the last night of the season.

Regular season it's easily 60/40, speaking from experience (having a Habs fan girlfriend ).

Makes for a good atmosphere, though the Habs have not played well in Ottawa for the most part.

With a 60/40 split in the playoffs, things might get out of hand in the stands. In fact, things might get heated in the regular season with this new rivalry.

Oh the building is louder than ever in those games, can't deny that. Never had any issue at all honestly, it's always good fun, from my experiences anyways, but her wearing a Habs jersey probably helps there.

Agreed on all parts, will be interesting to see.
