I dont feel like looking back before this season but that is not true this season.

I guess Ryan White thought that would work out differently.
Can't stand him at all. Good job Sens!

Also funny how Luongo is superb and Schneider kind of crapped the bed.

Looks like it's just slightly above 50% for non-playoff teams

Let in more than 3 goals 10 times

Luongo was good in the first two games but the Canucks wanted to change it up as Schneider got healthy. They changed goalies after being down 2-0 last year as well and it didn't turn iout too well

.211, .927 seems good to me.

50/50 split or so is fine. especially since 7 other teams make the playoffs and 7 miss the playoffs.

With the hype around him, he should be posting a .02 and .999

Vancouver's trying to steal our thunder with the goalie carousel.

dont know many Canuck fans who are happy with their defensive group.

That seems odd to me, I think Hamhuis and Edler are great.

Both have underperformed substantially from their (possibly unsustainable) levels in the 2011 playoffs. I love Edler, but he has the same sort of consistency issues that Coburn struggles with.

Henrik Sedin lost his mind tonight. He had a vicious crosscheck to Couture's head that was called and, in the scrum where Kassian got his last penalty, Sedin came flying in with an elbow (which the refs missed). The Canucks might go quietly in 4 games.

Alright it didn't work when I said it for the Islanders so let's try it again. The Canucks are going to get swept.

For me, the hated three would be the Habs, Penguins and Canucks, in that order.

Looking at the Canuck's lineup on CapGeek they don't look good in the future. They can get rid of a goalie to free up some cap space and bring in one player but other then trading the Sedin's (the equivalent of our Carter and Richards but what team would take both?) have no way of bring in any youth.

The Richards and Carter deals look like great moves in comparison!

I'm putting myself out there – particularly because I watched that Nystrom Cup-winning goal live on TV back in the Middle Ages – but an extreme underdog like the Islanders winning against the Penguins in Round 1 would be the next best thing to the Flyers doing it themselves.

And I promise to try to find a Nystrom Islanders jersey in the Greater Montreal Area, but I have my doubts one is available.

If anyone wants a local (ie, Montreal) analysis of the embarrassment of last night, avoid the English paper – which only hints at the depth of poo the Canadiens wallowed in – and bring a Google translator to the other daily worth reading in this city.

http://www.lapresse.ca/sports/hockey...u-canadien.php

Their front-page pic – Neil beating on a flinching Moen – and title "Humiliation et Frustration" don't need translating. And the lead photo on the first page of the sports section is a huge pic of Cowen giving a left cross to White. The writer is refreshingly open and honest that the Canadiens lost the game, the fights and their pride.

The Gazette let Jack Todd (!) rant about how Hockey Night in Canada is anti-Habs, Dave Stubbs (whom I like as a writer) bringing in historical factoids about playoff rivalries, and a bullet-point type run-down of the Canadiens losing. All you need to know about Todd's take: he lists Subban, Prust, Bourque, Tinordi and Therrien as his heroes, and Ron MacLean among his zeroes.

The problem is that they have two goaltenders who are good. Which one is better than the other?

Our goalie carousel often involves goaltenders who are bad. Which one is worse than the other?

I'm not old enough to have seen the Canadiens gracefully beat those oh-so-brutish Broad Street Bullies back in the 70s, but I would imagine all the fans clamoring for the saints of the league to pummel the barbarians back in those days are a bit uncomfortable right now. The Canadiens look like a bunch of children out there.
