John Giannone this morning said that MSG would air an exclusive interview with Sather to air at 10. I am assuming that is PM. He said he would address youth in the organization, the future, and Brian Leetch. Anyone know anything about this?
Saw this also this morning, I dont think he is going to say anthing that we havent read from the bulletins, or was said by Renney. But it's nice to hear from the GM for the first time since the Shanny signing, especially with pre-season starting tomorrow. Guess we have to wait untill 10 tonight.
Did anyone see the commercial on MSG for "MSG REBORN 10-05-2006" is that referring to the new season? The commercial didnt really have any direction and wasnt very telling. Any ideas?
Did anyone else find it suspicious or odd that in light of all today's sports news such as the Mets or weekend football, Sportsdesk chose to lead with a 5 second clip of Sather on Leetch then say "see the rest in 6 minutes". Seems a little shady to me. Perhaps this is saying something about Leetch coming back? Maybe this was Sather's way of making public amends. Just a thought.

Or maybe MSG lost the Mets rights and doesn't want to play up the fact that if you change the channel to Sportsnet NY you will watch the festivities...
Maybe it's just me but Sportsdesk has lost all its luster. It's isn't a good show anymore and the anchors are boring as hell to watch..

This is about MSG Network "relaunching" with a new logo. It is what you saw in that sneak peek.
They're doing it in time for the Rangers' season opener (no shock there, but makes sense).
Remember the boxing promos you've seen lately? The MSG portion of the program title graphic
is the font of the new network logo. Also, I believe that the name of the network will just be called MSG.
Just saw the clip Sather. He didn't say too much, really. Basically, he doesn't think Leetch would want to come back in a 7th D guy role. He didn't say he would definetly be playing that role, if he did come back though.
It just seemed odd that the focus of sportsdesk was just the Leetch thing. He mentioned other stuff, but they double played the leetch clip. Who knows, there hasn't been any leetch news in like a week.
Any of you remember the survey they had online a year and a half ago where they showed different renderings of the Garden and asked your opinions on them? Supposedly they were going to begin a multi-million renovation of MSG this summer. Anyone heard if they actually did anything?
The only rumblings I've been hearing lately is the delay of renovations to the Farley Post Office
across the street that's eventually going to be Moynihan Station and a NEW Madison Square Garden
attached to the west end. The talk is that the current arena would be demolished afterwards
and office towers to go in its place. Plans might change, but that's what I've heard.
broadwayblue, do you have a link to the survey?
I gotta go check out the Glen Sather and John Davidson interviews you all are talking about
either on the MSG Network web site or MSG Sportsdesk Interactive on my cable box.
Then I'll comment on those afterwards.
I saw the interview today on MSG Sportsdesk Interactive. It was okay. Nothing really stood out.
The whole thing with Brian Leetch, it didn't really give me any indication he would be brought back or not.
At least Slats talked about the youngsters that have a legitimate shot at making the team.
