So this is a simulator where ECHL guys can eventually develop into NHL players? No word of the AHL, is that league participating in the game?

Yes, if they have enough potential you can try and groom ECHL players into the NHL. And if your chosen ECHL team happens to be affiliated with an NHL/AHL team, you'll probably get some prospects sent down to get ice time with your team as well. Although I have not seen that many players make the leap from ECHL all the way to the big show in the game, just like in real life.

The licensed leagues included in the game from the North American side are: NHL, AHL, ECHL and the Canadian Major Juniors (WHL, OHL, QMJHL). There are also two unlicensed lower level minor pro leagues playable in the game. On the european side there are 11 Elite leagues from across Europe where you can manage and a few of them have lower divisions modelled as well below the elite level

Would those be the UHL and CHL?

Yup, we've finally managed to get them into the game (it was a close call first two versions as both times we simply could not get things finalized in time). This year it helped that we had a special someone from the league offices playing the 2005 version and actually contacting us about how to get their league in this year

It will be available via Digital Download only this year, so you should be able to get it from just about anywhere.
