What a mess in Vancouver- as a 1 and 3 seed the past 2 years, they are 1-7 (soon to be 1-8) in the playoffs, including 0-5 at home.

Will be very interesting offseason for them- probably going to be some major changes.

I kinda feel bad for Luongo. Hope he gets traded to a better, or any other situation. For the most part a stand up guy.

Vancouver needs to blow it up. I would assume AV is fired, but who else would they move? A goalie, obviously. Sedins? Kesler? Booth? Bieksa? Edler? I'd love one of those Dmen if we can get one.

I read that too. How is that even possible?

There were at LEAST three suspendable offenses in that game. I was sure the Montreal coach would be fined too for having zero ability (or maybe zero desire) to control his own players.

Cannot believe that there will be NO supplemental discipline for anyone involved in that circus of a game. Don't get me wrong, it was fun to watch, but some of those incidents deserve at least a fine.

How can Shanahan justify not even having a hearing?

The NHL itself hasn't issued a statement either way yet, so I hope it's just a rumor and that there will in fact be some discipline handed out.

Yeah, if they could just give us Hamhuis back, I'd be happy.

Yeah, cause that Hamhuis-Klein pairing was SO good for us, and Hamhuis didn't make fun of the Nashville market after he left or anything.

That bridge has been burned IMO. I'd rather get Edler, Bieksa, or Garrison (he'd be the cheapest I assume). Even Tanev could be a nice add.

Quit being so thin skinned, Hamhuis' comments were so tongue and cheek and also mention that he bragged about Nashville too, especially about how great the city and people were.

Klein is not the same player he was then. They are both much more seasoned. I think they could be exactly what trotz imagined they could be this time around.

Suter will probably win, but it's not like we didn't know he was a Norris caliber defenseman for years. I just think it sucks that he has to go to a northern team just to get acknowledged. Kinda just proves that nobody really gives a crap about us little guys.

Weber not winning the Norris yet shows that the media care little about who deserves it.... Lidstrom basically won a "lifetime achievement" Norris 2 years ago and then the canadian team player with a buttload of assists and no PK time won it last year.

Of the three nominees there are two eastern conference canadian born players, one of whom plays for a canadian team.

Suters best hope is that the eastern/canadian media split their votes evenly and all of the US/Western media vote for Suter.

I'm going to have to stay out of it.

I keep getting infractions against me for commenting on it.

The Mild fans like to chest thump, like they've done something special. Sooner or later, Liarpold will screw that team up too, just like he has every business he's ever touched.

btw, I have to laugh at the idiots that say we can't use injuries as an excuse for the season. They might not be the only excuse but they are a big reason our team completely fell apart the last half of the season. We only had half of our top 12 out, and most of those were leaders on offense, like Wilson, Bourque, Hornqvist and Fisher.

What team could lose their starting center, top winger and top goal scorer and still be competitive?

Also, why is it Wild fans are always pointing out to us that Suter had a good season?

The first thing they posted on their boards was stuff about us. I had to call one of their posters out a few weeks ago for saying he loved seeing all the whinning by Nashvlle and New Jersey fans in that thread, not a single Nashville fan had posted in that thread prior to his post.

We get it, the Wild bought Suter. Maybe that's are way we say I'm sorry for giving you our crappy ex-owner.

So you're saying most teams could overcome losing most of their top 9?

Ottawa Senators. They lost their star center, Norris caliber defenseman, starting goaltender, #1 winger, and more for a huge chunk (if not all) of the season.

Made the playoffs.

They're the exception, but still...

If Suter wins a Norris before Weber I think I may break a multitude of expensive things. It'll prove this game is ****ing rigged...

Injuries are only an excuse when you're in the basement.

When you make the playoffs for the first time since 2008 you suddenly get to be arrogant.
