Gus logged 24:49 minutes of ice time today and was a plus-one in a 2-1 win for Sweden over Belarus.

Gus played solid through-out the game, and has in the tournament as a whole, and he's been rightfully rewarded for it with lots of ice time. As a comparison the player with the second most ice time was Tallinder at 19:54.

On a side note he was criticised by one "expert" to not be "living up to the hype" although he was beforehand labelled as dark horse by every news paper....

He could be getting some help soon with Detriot, Vancouver, and the Rangers possibly being eliminated some Swedish players might be available.

Well, any player from those teams will be welcomed with open arms, the team is not very good. But who knows, Mårts turned down both Adam Larsson and Rundblad...

first goal was bad.
2nd one thru a screen. not even the great Bryzgalov was going to stop that.

Bryz is the only reason the US and their collection of 4th line plugs might win this game.

For starters, they always play well internationally both in the junior and senior level. And a 7 round skills competition isn't exactly an earth shattering win.
