As of today, September 21, 1:14 PM, Planning for the Stanley Cup Parade in Ottawa has been officially stopped.
I can't wait to quote this thread in debates.

stopped may be too strong. I say, it's been put on pause, like kaigorodov's Russian contract.

Let's not get bogged down in semantics.
If it's stopped, it doesn't mean it can't be started again. In fact, it probably will be, the next time we win.
As of right now though, no parade.

Parade planning staff and infastructure was reportedly transferred to the City of Toronto!
The Bates Battaglia float has been outsourced to the company who produced the Jon Sim, Brian Savage, and Brandon Bochenski floats

Has anyone found out the extent of Alfredsson's injury? Maybe once that is determined we can resume parade planning.
P.S. I got dibs on the giant sweater float, in honor of the trend-setting Muckler.

Well, we're PLANNING THE STANLEY CUP PARADE AGAIN!
After having beaten (in the words of some Leafs fans) the Toronto Marlies with our "A squad" in pre-season, it's time to start getting those lawn chairs out and trying to anticipate whether Elgin Street or Bank Street would be a better route.
WOOHOO!

Hey, we've lost in the playoffs to a Toronto AHL team and Gary Roberts. I say in honour of this victory we plan a parade, but only down Percy St. That's prob a better happy medium.

You'd better believe it.
We've already begun stamping those player names on the silver Stanley Cup band, just to save some time later on.

Perhaps we should identify which Ottawa-based celebrities we want making appearances. These are our choices:
-Matthew Perry
-Alanis Morrissette
-Tom Green
-Lowell Green
-Samantha Bee

I thought Lowell Green was overseas serving in Afghanistan.
One would think so, based on his radio show.

You know, Tom Green has had more intimate contact various animals, dead and alive, than anyone not classified as certifiably insane should. Yet, I still find Lowell Green to be the one that embarrasses me more from sharing the same hometown.

Personally, I'd like Jean Chretien to attend...
I'd then like him to give a speech regarding how the Ottawa Senators are proven to be the Stanley Cup champions, all because of good proof.

A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven.
