Boyle goal...Holtby so confident that the Rangers aren't gonna shoot in close that he left the post way early to play the pass

IF Boyle can perform this way in the regular season he'd be our top line player lol. Something about the playoffs ........

Nash, Cally and Stepan have been really bad so far , these guys have got to get going if we have any chance of coming back in this series !!

Agreed. Only guys I am legitimately angry about are Stepan, Callahan, and Nash. Those three were miserable. Everyone else played OK and the guys you mentioned played quite well.

Hank looks solid, too.

I fail to see how we were that outplayed. I thought the period was quite even. We got trapped in the zone for two long stretches, but nothing came of it. Hopefully they come out flying with the momentum they got from Byron's goal.

I like Boyle tonight. Not just the goal but playing physical. Whether some are not happy with Callahan (dumb penalty) he really cranked Erskine late in the period. You want to win in the playoffs you've got to play physical--hit every ****ing thing that moves as often as possible.

Moore impresses me too. Loved Stralman's hip check on Ovechkin. Staal looks good out there. Guys that got to pick it up Nash, Stepan, Richards, Hagelin and Callahan.

Nash doesn't need to split the defense...It's the playoffs, you go for efficiency over flash. Why do you think Ovechkin is setting up his teammates with gaping, wide-open nets almost every time he's on the ice? He's one of the most dangerous guys in the world with the puck in the offensive zone...Nash doesn't seem to have any brains...or effort recently. He needs to draw guys to him, then kick it out to an open man....instead he floats through with his dangles, loses it, and watches our guys play defense...I don't want this guy if he will be playing like this.

I want to like Holtby... but he has done precisely nothing to earn the level of arrogance he displays. The guy's biggest accomplishment is being an ECHL all star.

it just looks bad because they collapse too much and get pinned in their zone. you can't let mike green do what he wants on the point at ES

He himself doesn't deserve hate, it's the way his coach uses him that gives him that hate.

Callahan, as captain, really needs to step up.

Normally I'd say he's just pressing, but he has stretches where he plays hard and where he doesn't. Just very odd play from the guy.

The refs need to tell the Caps to slow down on the interferences. They're hitting random guys left and right

Same here. He plays hard and is nice defensively and wins a lot of draws. If he used his size more he'd be legit.

Doesn't matter if we win this game. If Stepan, Cally and Nash don't get something goin we have no chance in this series.
