Guess what? Taylor Pyatt's line kept the Caps pinned in at some point. This stuff happens every game with every team and almost every line. Not all of hockey is played in the neutral zone.

I hate to say it but either a 1-2-2 trap or a 2-1-2 heavy forecheck would make quick work of Washington.

But no. Let's dump then collapse 5 guys below the circles.

Win Game 4.
Exactly...the Rangers are content to give up the puck far too easily.

I have a feeling that most Caps saw something similar in their team's game tonight.

Your next one better be, too. Or else.

Nerve-racking, faith-testing game. Nice to get the win, although the first 40 minutes were far from pretty. Third period was excellent, if the Rangers play like that they can win this series.

Just tie it in game four, have Lundqvist steal game five, and come back to the Garden to seal it down. Anything can happen!

Only problem, Rangers have won once in Washington in the playoffs in this stretch.

Gotta keep hope. It never dies with me even if it's bleak. IT SHOULD BE THE SAME FOR EVERYONE HERE

I felt the time was right, the mountains aligned, and Brian Boyle had an awesome game.

Forgot to post my three stars:

1. Brassard
2. Boyle
3. Zuccarello

HM: Lundqvist, Moore and Asham

Also a shout out to Stepan/Nash for stepping it up big time.

I think Moore acknowledges (And appreciates)that he can really "make it" here. He wasn't really that far and away ahead of Tim Erixon in Columbus, but in my eyes he is a significantly better prospect, at least for our hockey team. He still is a little soft along the boards, though.

Torts saying the same thing I did about the 2nd. We owned the first half, they owned the 2nd half. That was annoying. I'm sure it pissed him off, too.

I think it's because he keeps it simple, when the rest of the team is holding their sticks too tight, behind the back passes to nowhere, over-stick handling, etc. The playoffs are tighter, teams simplify their play. This is also why regular season success isn't a proper gauge for predicting playoff success. Plus he's had time to rest a little. Keep it simple (except you Brassard ).

He just goes out and does his job, and does it well. If we had every player doing that, this team could find some real success. Some players are just better suited for the post-season; his size, effort, and simple style, obviously translate very well.

If you want to go deep in the playoffs, any team needs a guy like him (well, multiple guys), playing like he did tonight. On the flip side, if Brian Boyle is one of your best players every game, you're toast.

He can make it here with a shot like that. He cleans up the board play and he's golden.

If they quit sitting or preventing, they'll own more. They did get complacent but then went "oh ****, we ****ed up, better fix it." in the third and came back with fortitude and fight to right it.

Zuccarello? Lads, without him we don't win today. I know that goes for several players including Brassard, but that we got him essentially for free has been a big move for this team.
Agree Zucc hasn't gotten enough credit of his play tonight.

Hags has not been the same since the Ovi leg whip

Moore looks like he has the right 'feel' for playing the powerplay. I noticed a couple of times how the Capitals understood he has a damned good shot.
