I've said it before, I count myself as a level-headed fan. For some reason, the Ryan Suter situation burns inside of me.

Bottom line: I hope he loses and never wins a cup.

I hope he never wins another playoff series, much less a trophy and a Cup.

I have no ill will toward Suter now. I understand wanting to be near family. I don't like how he handled it.

However, I hate Leopold, and always want his team to lose. Sooner or later, he'll show his true colors and screw them up too. He always does.

I have a lot of unjustifiable ill-will towards Suter. It may not be reasonable, but I'm OK with that.

It's understandable. What he did was wrong.

Weber may not ever win a Norris, Stevens didn't, and he was one of the best all time.

The Norris is a popularity contest with the hockey writers, that's all.

Weber by all metrics was far and away better than Lidstrom the year that he lost. It kills me that he didn't win it. It kills me that an offensive dynamo wins it in the weak East over Weber last year in the hard-nosed West. Agh. Weber truly may never win a Norris.

The flaw in NHL awards. The Vezina is voted on by GMs. The rest of them should be the same way.

Oh well.

Let's go, Subban!

Suter turned a mild dislike for the Wild into a debilitating hatred for me. It's so intense that I can't even watch us play the Wild without losing my mind.

Of course, the consolation of losing Suter to Minnesota is that he's no longer in our divi- oh, wait, thanks so much, NHL. And by thanks, I mean **** you and your stupid alignments. I WANT THE RED WINGS BACK.

the game isnt but the awards certainly arent very objective thats for sure.

However, one upside to our total suckitude this year is if we do well next year Trotz might actually get the Adams since it will be considered a 'turnaround"

99.5% of my hate for Suter comes from the fact that he left us for the team owned by CRAIG F***ING LIARPOLD

Suter, an alternative view:

I want Suter to win the Norris. I want him to allude to having to carry Shea all those years in his speech. I want the press to whisper it in articles, particularly the Canadian press that is bitter he didn't become a Canucklehead or Leaf.

Or I want Shea to here it in his head even if it isn't said or written. And I want it to chap his @SS beyond all reason that Suter left him AND won it before him. At some point, some combination of events has to turn him into a ticking bomb because we need him to play like that ever night.

I'll root for Suter to win the Norris on the slimest of hopes that it has a slight chance of making beast mode Shea spend a rage filled summer getting ready to slay the west next year.

He needs to share our collective seething rage over some combination of Liarpold/Suter/Wild. Maybe this would do it (or Stockholm syndrome drives him to ask for a trade to the Wild... who can tell).

More likely scenario is Suter wins Norris: Weber-"Wait, so all I have to do to win Norris is go to a big market? *picks up phone* "Hey, Mr. Poile, what's the trade market like."

Not saying it will happen, just saying it's more likely than him getting mad about it and playing angry all the time.

I don't think it's actually rigged. I stole that quote from The Wire.

I'd post the link, but the language isn't kosher.

Pittsburgh we have a problem. Have to think Vokoun at the very least starts the next game and with some of the goals Fleury has let in he should probably be starting for as long as the Pens remain in the playoffs.

Rooting for someone/something doesn't necessarily equate to liking that someone/something. Prime example : Iran-Iraq war. The US didn't necessarily like ol' Saddam, but they sure rooted for him to win..kinda like I'm doing with the 'Hawks, Kings, Ducks, and Sharks.

Which, if Vokey plays like MAF, won't be much longer.

Yeah but Vokoun should be fine. All he has to do is prevent a puck coming at him at about 10 mph from behind the net from going into the net and not allow a puck that was weakly pushed off a stick go between his leg and arm into the net.

MAF is just awful right now. Worst goalie in the league by far. Just let your offense score a ton like they have been and make some easy saves like that and you're moving on.

Why is minnesotas ahl goalie playing? Not that I mind but I hate it that they will have an "excuse" for losing...

Backstrom hurt game 1.

Harding hurt after 1st period tonight.

Desperation station.

Who is Miikka Kiprusoff?

Now, worst goalie in the playoffs I would agree with, but he carried some solid numbers through the regular season, and Pittsburgh conceded the fourth-fewest goals in the East.

Of course, this discussion is moot, because whoever wins this series is not getting past the second round. Fleury's head is not on straight and Nabokov is wholly average.
