he's is not bad, he is just an offensive D-man, so is Salmela.

But I believe Fransson is better than Salmela. We'll see next season if Fransson comes there. Avangard will have to buy out his contract because he does not have a KHL clause.

What is the contract status of the following players that played for Avangard last season: Matti Kuparinen and Tomas Zaborsky?

Omsk has already Teemu Lassila and Miroslav Blatak signed for the next season. If these two Swedes Hjalmarsson and Fransson are signed then Avangard would have four foreigners which would mean no room for both Zaborsky and Kuparinen.

Soviet Sport also rumoured that Omsk want to get Tomi Sallinen (from Espoo) and Tomas Hertl (from Slavia). Wouldn't that be impossible with the current import quota?

Can somebody explain me the scheme?
Sergeyev started last season in CSKA.
During the season he was traded to Amur for the choice in 2nd round of Draft-2013.
After the season he got back to CSKA.
Then he moved to Spartak.

How can it be? I don't get it.

Traded to Amur with the right to be retained (traded for Ozhiganov who was also CSKA's property)
Was retained and traded to spartak as the compensation for acquiring Morrison before this year's p-offs.

Most of these is illegal per KHL, but everyone's doing it.

(see Petrov to Yugra, for example)

You got that right about Fransson but Salmela isn't much of the offensive force after the stint with the Devils.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Every non-superstar player is a bit of a gamble, import even more so. Ak Bars' situation and moves seem pretty odd this year.

Heshka was great in SM-liiga this season and the best defenseman for Ässät Pori that won the championship trophy.

Heshka won't need to be the leader of defense in Kazan. They already have Ilya Nikulin, Evgeny Medvedev and Konstantin Korneyev. Heshka is expected to play as a top four defensemen there which he is capable of.

He doesn't watch SM-Liiga. Juzmo's the number 1 Ässät fan on this boards, he could give a better description.

From what I understand and his numbers suggest he isn't an offensive D, more like big physical two-way type. I understand he won't have to be a leader but even a top-4 role in Kazan is not that easy. Especially considering that so far Heshka is one season wonder rather than a player with solid resume

Hjalmarsson's team currently aren't interested in selling him though, except maybe at a very high price. The kind of money currently being mentioned as the offer (2-3m SEK) appearently isn't even close to making it interesting.

I think it is because swedish clubs, including your team, seell its best prospects to NHL clubs from 200-300 000 USD

Oh stop whining for once. The system how NHL club buys a foreigner has been explained to you numerous times and if you still fail to understand it it's nobody's problem but yours. Stop creating these useless offtopical discussion just because you like to show off your ignorance time and time again

The right policy for the KHL should be to refuse to buy out contracts of players of foreign leagues and instead just wait for the contracts to expire and get the players for free.

That is unless players don't have KHL clauses in their contracts that would permit them to leave for free or for small compensation. KHL clauses are common for most of the best SM-liiga players.

it's true, but then you are risking for someone to outbid you in annual salary .
