It's 9:45 PM Eastern, and Colorado's been on the clock now for about 11 hours or more.

Time to skip ahead to the next team?

I can't believe people are being autoed after 8 hours. That is complete ********. 8 hours is enough time for me to do research for 4 hours and STILL not be autoed. All you have to do is keep in mind your picks and check the thread like ONCE a day. Like this is so bad I won't even be joining another mock draft from Velo, no offense to him...lol.

I'll be back, but yeah it's so easy to check the thread once a day, and if you know your about to be up and can't make it back to comp, just PM Velo and he'll make the pick, I've had to do that twice already since I work 12 hours + a day at night. It's not hard people, c'mon.

Is is generally the smoothest running mock draft all year, we did knock out 3 rounds in 2 weeks.

^at least the real draft is going to do all of the rounds at the same time, so there's no waiting 'till the next day for the remaining rounds.....i wish they'd do that every year !!

(I drafted him in last year's Velociraptor draft in the 5th Round for WPG, he has only increased his standing, IMO)

Next GM PMed.

WPG JETS SELECTIONS
14. C Frederik Gauthier - Rimouski (QMJHL)
44. C Jacob de la Rose - Leksand (ALK)
59. D Eric Roy - Brandon (WHL)
61. D Alex Coulombe - Stanstead College (CAHS)
75. RW Nick Sorenson - Quebec (QMJHL)
91. G Patrik Bartosak - Red Deer (WHL)
His standing definitely increased, but he was also drafted too early by you last year in my opinion as a Rebels season ticket holder haha. I have him as a 6th or 7th rounder this year. His personal problems have to be accounted for too.

It's 12 hours since Colorado was auto-selected, and LA still has not picked. May I go ahead and make St. Louis' pick when I get home from work in 3-1/2 hours, if LA has not chosen before then?

You're a lot nicer than I am.

I went ahead and made my pick at the 8.5 hr mark after teams in front of me missed the window.

Missing a pick actually happened in the NFL during the 2003 draft (Byron Leftwich and Jordan Gross were picked after Vikings-Ravens trade fell through and Minnesota went over their allotted time before the Vikes grabbed Kevin Williams) and I know we're just a bunch of goombahs on the internet, but still...

No one can complain if others move on. Again- I understand that stuff happens beyond people's control, but every year I do this- folks can't seem to respect the process/others' schedules. I guess I just have higher standards for common courtesy, but you ought to do what you say you're going to do. If you can't be bothered to check in or even send a list of preference picks to Velociraptor or someone else to keep everyone else from waiting, then don't sign up for the exercise. It's pretty simple, really.

I'm not so sure about that...Rey, RR and Water Knight's draft #4 has been running for about the same time, and are 40 picks ahead of this one. 91 - 136 I believe. I'm not trying to put this draft down or elevate theirs...but they have a 3/4 hour limit for picks, and are that far ahead of us. They also have 10 auto's throughout all their picks, and while I don't know the exact numbers, I imagine we have quite a few more than that. Most of the picks were changed pretty quickly anyways.

Just food for thought I guess.

This.

If you're next on the clock and it's been a significant amount of time, just pick.

If the person who was skipped comes in all angry and confrontational, "you !@#$% drafted the guy in the third round that I wanted to draft! I demand the prospect be given to me!" the rest of us will make fun of him. 99% of the time I would expect the skipped manager to be apologetic for missing the window, make another pick, and keep things moving.

Just take the initiative. Even if it's two picks. St. Louis should draft a player and inform Nashville they are on the clock.

Based upon the feedback I've received from other GM's in the previous posts...

With humongous risk showing the size of our man parts, the Calgary Flames select Rinat Valiyev of wherever he's playing now. One of the most talented players in the draft, minuscule commitment levels to the North American game. The risk is something we hope pays off a la Alexei Emelin.

I have also been hosting mock drafts successfully since 2008, it is definitely a shock to have had this much of a change in gears midway through the draft. I'm also not around as much so its hard to moderate completely and have everything running like clockwork.

Regardless, I do appreciate the people who have helped make this run smoother recently and I will do my best to keep on top of things from now until pick #211.

Great pick, in the 4th he's a steal.

NJ are proud to select, with the 101st pick ovr Phillip Desrosiers (G) of the Rimouski Oceanic (QMJHL). We feel that with an aging Brodeur and no consistently excellent goalie in our prospect pool that Desrosiers has the potential to be our starting goalie within 2-3 years.

Awesome pick.. Was hoping he'd fall a little more. Some people think he's the second best goalie in the draft.

Thanks man. Had him as a 2nd round pick at the start of the draft, was surprised to see him available in the 4th. Could see him breaking out huge with added icetime.

Nice pick to you as well. Desrosiers was second on my list behind Elie. Was hoping he would make it to my second 4th round pick
