Why would we? It doesn't make Weber any worse even if Suter wins. Weber would still be norris caliber defenseman. In the end awards mean very little.

A special thanks to M. Zidlicky for wanting out, because if we still had his contract on the books during the summer, we may not have been able to make those July 4th signings.

You rock, Zids!

Am I the only one who heard the southern accent in his head while reading that?

I'm not going to choose to classify all of you like that. There's just bad fans in every fanbase.
That's just wrong. I mean, I wish our fan base was more passionate, but I mean, not to dick levels like that.

Altho I kind of wish there was a way to chase those jerkwad Hawks and Wings fans out of the X whenever those teams show up during the regular season.

Some jerk on NBC is dismissing Suter's season because we didn't "overachieve" like Montreal did.

BOOOOOOOOO

1) Russo just threw his fellow PHWA members under the bus with Brodin.

2) He said that Brodin was hurt by playing in this market and the East/West balance.

3) Apparently Ryan Suter benefited from moving to a major market.

4)???

5) How can Minnesota be both? Profit

You rock, Zids!

My favorite thing above all to remind Devils fans about, no way any of this happens if Zids is still on the team, haha, love it!

There's no question who is the better player now between Suter and Weber, none.

I would still take Weber over Suter though.

Nope, it's still Weber and has always been. But at least Suter has quieted down a lot of doubters by showing that he can be a Norris caliber defenceman on his own.

Suter may have benefited from all the publicity and interest from big-market teams he got last summer, at least people knew who he was even before this. I don't think the East coast still knows who Brodin is. Suter may have moved to a bigger market than Nashville, but Minnesota's not a big enough market to give Brodin any kind of benefit.

This nomination's such a great thing especially considering there were people basically thinking he should be traded when he had difficulties early in the season.
