Ugh.

Martinek or Hickey. Me thinks Martinek just because Hickey seemed to struggle with some of their size a bit.

Damnit, that sucks. I'd guess Martinek plays then.

This definitely hurts, I think Martinek should get the call.

I'd rather have Martinek in there than Hickey.

Martinek has more experience, but I wouldn't be upset to see either.

If they can win with Carkner and only having 5 D, I'm comfortable with either of the other guys.

Bummer. Hate to see the pride of Judique go down for the POs.

Wow this is a big loss. I would go with Hickey. Yes he had a bad game 1 but that was probably nerves. He has been playing well for the most part and Martinek has hardly played and is very soft. Hickey is small but he will hit and is a pretty good skater.

After some brief thinking, at least for game 5 they should dress Hickey and Martinek and scratch Ullstrom. Ullstrom in his 5 min made no impact and Grabner, Cizikas, McDonald and eat those minuets without it hurting anyone else or the team

Ullstrom did a lot more positive in his 5 minutes than Carkner in his 7 minutes. He is BRUTAL.

In all seriousness the Islanders have lost the luxury of dressing Carkner for 8 minutes a night, with AMAC down you cant put that muchg pressure on the other 5 defenceman against the Penguins especially after the last week.

Viz-Hammer
Streit-Strait
Hickey-Martinek

Strait plays the left side not the right side. I thought Strait would be out with Hamonic, but who knows.

On a side note. Nice that capuano finally gave Cizikas more ice time than Aucoin. You and I have been calling for that all season.

Cizikas 12 Minutes, 1 Goal, 2 Assists PLUS 4 and infuriating Brenden Morrow and countless other POS Pens.

See what happens when Cappy listens to the msg board guys?

I think you will see Strait with Harmonic on the first pairing now. Maybe Vis/Martinek as the second pairing and Streit/Carkner third pairing. Amac is a big loss but other guys have to step up.
