Jakub Laki is also in the Most Expensive list, his AvQ is 87 (not scouted) and his OR is 252 and also 6/6 at age 15.
Last check had a bid of $120,814,079
Both Laki and Reed have a top bid from HK Ronis, there is a club with some money to spend. HK Ronis also has a bid for Imre Bertók at 130,099,999!

So had a little bit of luck buying three players three days in a row from RFA/UFA market, got a solid defender today but i'm a little worried about his low technique: LINK

Handball guide

Everyone should have access to Handball Beta tomorrow if not then Monday. There are some interesting differences so I decided to help out those not able to view yet by providing a version of the guide to familiarize yourself with the differences between handball and hockey/soccer.

So, what's going to be everyone's strategy with getting handball started?

Going to work my SA first I think, sell high-OR, low-Q guys and use the money to get med-OR high-Q guys. From there do what I did in soccer. Get TF up to ~10 or so then load up on good 15yo prospects.

In other news:

10/7/5/4 and 10/8/6/3 ratios are my first guess for handball. We should all keep track of what tactics work vs. what to have the ring figured out before beta is done; granted, tactics are heavily impacted by your players' builds.

It's low, but I have discovered that technique may not be as important to defencemen as we have been led to believe. I'd worry more about his absurdly low shot rating.

I have not detected any significant difference in PIM between defencemen with a Tec score higher than their secondary attributes VS those who have Tec scores lower than their secondary attributes.

My training ratio for defencemen is currently 10-4-5-4-5. But both Shooting and Technique is dependent on the individual quality VS the quality of other attributes. Technique is also capped upwards so it never exceeds the secondary attributes.

My thinking as well with heavy SA at first and sell high OR guys. It's what in did in soccer / hockey. Another part of me thinks going compete opposite and getting better players, higher team OTR, more money could work well also.

Oopsy with the Handball team name. I wanted to oppose canucks Royal City Teslas, so I named my team the Edison Illuminating Co. After that's all taken care of, only then do I find out that this will be my team name in the real game too

Oh well. Change is good, I guess.

I love the brown background.

What sorts of bugs should I be looking for? Everything I've tried so far has worked. Except for Team Strength Evolution. Which I assume is broken because we haven't played any games.

I think I know how to get a good edge early. You can play 2 games per day, but the second games are tourney games aka credit tourney. We should setup a tourney of 8 teams and just run it for the whole season to accumulate bonus OTR.

YOU ARE EVIL!!! In soccer you could change your name free once after beta. I assume Handball will be the same. Wowzers, you have 2 guys better than any of mine (by OR) and I have 2-3 guys better than any of saint2e's. There really is a lack of balance!

I remember in soccer my team's average OR was 10 lower than everyone else (130 vs 140 or something). I did well getting a 2nd place finish out of them. Rode my GK and 1-atty-junk-shooting CF hard that year...

Cool. Will do 8-12 teams or so. Should try and get some "feeder teams" too if there are people who are just signing up for handball but not going to seriously try and play it.

Just the cool kids can sign up right now, the ppm team. The rest of us will have to wait a little longer

That's why I posted the guide. Hopefully it opens tomorrow for everyone. I think it will cost credits to get in on beta if I remember correctly. May/may not be worth it, up to you. I suppose it depends on the cost.

That's crazy indeed. Hope he works out for you. Do I get some commission?

Bump up the bid again and I'll give you advance notice if and when I get another player (with hopefully a higher OR) like him.

I did bid on his "for sale" at an hour that was favourable to North Americans causing his deadline to be favourable.

Is this a Beta that will reset when the full version launches? Or am I going to want to get in as soon as possible to start building and training?

Gotta start thinking of team names now, as that's cleary the most important part.

Yeah, he's generally close to 40 goals off the top of my head, one of the seasons he hit 66 though!!

Also, count me in for the tournament in handball!

Ok, so, handball....

A sport I know absolutely nothing about...

Tying to work out ratios for players...

It's pretty straightforward what the GK's need to train I think, but the outfield players I'm still wondering over.

Basically, all outfield players must train all attributes except GK, right?

Am I right so far?

Reason I'm asking is because I seen someone post ratios in an earlier post, Canucks?, that seemed to only contain 4 atty's...
Surely all outfiel players train all 6 outfield atty's?!?!

#Confused.

Handball ratios already? I haven't a clue either way. It's all Slovakian to me.

Could anyone watch their match today? I could even view a replay.
