Suter - Brodin
Scandella - Dumba

Not a bad 1-2 punch in a year or two, I'd say....
Suter - Brodin
Scandella - Dumba
Gunnarsson - Spurgeon

Could that be the D pairings going forward?

An all right-handed D pairing simply does not happen

FYI, if anyone wants to register complaints about me as a mod, hit up complaints@hfboards.com. I don't get paid to do this and receive no perverse pleasure in doing this

Blizzard, I'm bored arguing about Larsson. Wrote stuff, deleted it. Bored with it.

Didn't write off Scandella but didn't see him as more than a third pairing guy. As I wrote elsewhere (and I've been VERY happy with his play this series), he's at least shown flashes of great play. I was there for his end to end goal against CBJ. He was a top four guy at the end of last year I believe.

The two guys I'm down on this year are Phillips and Bulmer. Bulmer because he didn't show much at the junior level and I think too many guys saw 3 points in 9 games early last year and got way too excited. This year in Houston it has just been a mess. Phillips started out the year really bad but has rallied. How much can he rally? I don't know. But I don't like a guy who's average at best speed and struggles defensively who also isn't scoring. I mean, we saw Granlund not have much of an impact in the NHL after going PPG in the AHL as a rookie. What is Phillips going to do at the next level?

IMO Clutter can get us a first. I'd love to get Zykov or Domi.

I don't think he gets us a first.

I've liked what Clutter has done this playoffs.

But I still feel like there's so much mish mash and conflicting players all over the lineup. I mean Clutter and Butch on the same line is kind of ugly!

Clutterbuck + a 3rd to get into the 1st round. Fletcher will be a stud if he can pull that off.

That's a tall order though. Clutter and a 3rd isn't worth a top-half 1st rounder and the bottom-half 1st round teams are playoff teams who probably already have one or two guys like Clutterbuck.

I would call up the GM of a eastern team who, accordingly to the media, gets knock out of the playoffs for "being too soft". Start with the Rangers and the Habs.

Hey, remember who the Habs picked up off waivers last year? That trade would be right up their alley!

I'm not in the "trade Clutterbuck" camp. He's brought a lot to the table in the playoffs so far, and I'm not sure we can afford to lose him.

In his last year with Oshawa, Cal put up 13 points in 9 games. The guy is a gamer, and somebody who elevates his play in the postseason. If he doesn't score that goal in regulation of game 1, we're not lamenting the Zucker post in OT.

The 2013 Calder Trophy is going on the shelf with the 1999 Stanley Cup and the Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to the winner of Super Bowl XLIV.

Here's a hint: those awards are all wins I consider completely illegitimate and refuse to ever recognize. Hull was in the crease, New Orleans bounty program means they literally cheated their way there with help from the NFL itself, and the voting for the Calder trophy is a complete and utter joke, awarded by nobodies who only watch eastern conference games.

I think because if his style of play he's coveted and could get us a good piece.

To be quite honest, ever since Granlund became an International Super Star and we signed Parise and Suter, this board has gone downhill and fast. Wild fans are becoming as whiny and opinionated as Leaf and Canadian fans and are even border lining some of the Oiler fans.

I've scaled back a lot of my posts simply because of trolls and whiny fans here on HF and I've been here a lot longer than what it says on my tag (over 10 years now). I haven't seen a board get this toxic since the Wild boards shuffled over to under the NHL banner.

Some of us have a disagreement with how the organization is being ran or we see things differently but people continue attack us and put up flimsy arguments. Not to mention our perception on other boards, which I find depressing that the Wild fans have gotten that bad. Wild fans are definitely living up to their name of being Canadian lite.

I've been writing it off as too many young kid posters on here.

The only issue I have is with all the bipolarity. We lose one game, we're the first team in the league and Yeo should be fired. We win one game and suddenly we can dance with the best of them. It gets really dull after a while.

Also all the Yeo hate, apparently every single thing plus global poverty is Yeo's fault. If the coach would be so important, shouldn't we start drafting coaches at the Draft, not players?

*annoyed sarcasm which that single emoticon cannot convey*

The amount of posters in the Wild boards have grown rapidly for past years. More users = more different opinions = more arguing etc. It's the same in all large fanbases in hfboards. It's still better than having one-man GDT's.

there is strict rules as to when you can enter a drat and no coach is that young....

Also while some Yeo bashing is out of hand, there are several key points that have merit as to why he should be canned.

No, it's the negativity and attacks that have been directed at me, posters following me around to bash me, posters finding me on Twitter to attack me anonymously, and the little sarcastic barbs that guys have to constantly work in.

Of course, but sometimes it exceeds rational thought and everything that goes wrong is blamed on Yeo, instead of even considering other possibilities.
