Thanks, UWT.

Canucks fans saying the refs handed the Sharks the series.

The first question in the AV presser put forth a wingnut conspiracy with the refs – that the guy that called the last penalty has it in for them.

I don’t get it, Vancouver seems like a pretty cool place with nice smart people. But the whole place: the fans, media, and mgmt buy into this conspiracy full board. And they lost 4-0. The paranoia is pathological.

Edit: some guy is going Glenn Beck in tears about the refs on VAN 1410: "The league is weaker tonight." Praise for the MLB umps.

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in North America you could ever visit - and is filled with great people...but yeah, you get crazy hockey people. I make this comment in a self-serving way - b/c Toronto is a fantastic city (with fantastic people ) and is filled with media idiots and crazed fans. So...despite my love of hating on the Canucks - I wouldn't project it into some general comment re Vancouver (riot jokes aside).

I'm headed to Toronto in a few weeks and can't wait. And I'd feel more stoked if it was Vancouver. But man there's something weird with the Canuck world - we have seen it on these boards. and it's not an accident that they were the only team to riot when they lost. They never accept the result. It's always someone else's fault.

in fairness to van, it's more fun to troll them for being a "riot city" than it's completely true - they're certainly not the first city where things have gone crazy - montreal had that problem, too. the last major victory toronto has was back to back Jays world series win in the 90s...and things were fine...although last G8 in Toronto got nasty - so it's not a perfect city.

Vancouver isn't a dangerous city...tbh the 3 big cities in Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) are all incredibly safe (and sane).

Have fun in Toronto - it's a very nice place to visit - and if you're from (and like!) Chicago there's a strong chance you'll also like Toronto a lot, too - the cities have many many similarities. If you want any advice re Toronto (places to go, stay, eat, have fun, etc.)...just let me know - save for partial times out during my undergrad years i've lived here my entire life

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys...

I really wish I could appreciate what talents the Sedin's are but I can't stand anyone on that team.

Lots of blame going around from the Canucks directed at everyone but themselves. It's just not possible that they could lose a playoff series, it must be because of some external forces that they can't control. They're going to continue not winning anything significant until the culture changes in that organization.

Just realized it was Daniel who got the boarding penalty, tons of Canucks fans crying about him throwing his first clean hit and getting a bs call on it. Karma for not getting called for his first dirty hit on Keith?

These playoffs are shaping of beautifully.

Hawks get an easy ride to the next round against a depleted Minny team that is soft and our biggest rivals in the West bet each other up or get swept.

PIT getting upset is also a very real possibility.

AV still has his job. Thought he would be fired by now. I'm a little surprised they let him on the plane back.

No, that was in SJ. It's a shame Vancouver missed their shot to extend their home playoff game losing streak.

VAN should clean up a bit... like firing GM Gillis and Coach AV but this would actually make them better.

Who needs D and goaltending when you can add Iginla and Morrow
Seriously, Pens have to go with Vokoun before Fleury loses them another series

You can't win a Cup with the Sedins. They are liabilities.

Cya Vancouver. Thing of beauty. Wish they could have stretched it out a few more games but a sweep was pretty sweet. Someone needs to replace the putter and golf ball with a broom on their logo.
