Better effort from Toews. ..better on faceoffs and at least had 2 take-aways...still nowhere near his "A" game form...Saad also not taking it to thr net hatd or controlling the puck off gorecheck as when he has his "A" form...result is no ptoduction from line #1...credit to Suter anf Btodin but still we expect better from that line...evem puttong Kane there got no scoring...still at lrast theu chrcked better this game.

Wild couldn't keep the high pace they showed in Game 3 and the Hawks played better with more effort. No wonder the Hawks won this game. MIN is done and Game 5 should be a W again.

Mind.blown.
I'm sure Handzus had the tougher matchup at the dot. I'm guessing he was lined up against Koivu quite a bit.

This was a boring but very impressive win. Hawks were short handed a ton and still didn't give up a goal in face Crawford didn't have to make a ton of tough saves.

Probably, even though Kruger had a few against Koivu as well. Just fun to see him continue to improve in this area.

Has Seabrook been boozin' before the games? Never in his career have I seen him get knocked on his ass so much. He's been flat out leveled at least three times this series. He's like that guy in "Slapshot" that says if he gets hit he's gonna piss all over himself.

People always line up to take shots at Seabrook. He just has no balance. That's his biggest issue. Torres and Clutterbuck wouldn't have been able to catch Seabs like they did if he was sturdy.

I thought the Nash or PHX series was boring. This series has surpassed that already. Yuk! I like what is Q doing with mixing all the players on the first two lines. As for Seabrook, has to be hurt.

Stop putting Carcillo in the lineup if your only going to play him 8 shifts a game. Play either Hayes, Morin or Ben Smith.

Posters from this forum going into other teams' threads and trashing the Hawks is getting pretty old. Just thought I would throw that out there.

He might have gotten more time if he hadn't thrown that wing out at Gilbert. Twas a stupid penalty.

Agree but we are up 3 goals midway through the third and he got ONE shift.

Not saying I agree with his ice time, just think he was in the doghouse.

There's an instance in the most recent Wild GDT.

How is it that Backstrom was allowed to dress as the backup goalie when Harding was injured? I thought a scratched player was inelligible. Is this a special case because he is a goalie?

I think Martini was permanently excluded from this board for doing that.

I browsed through the Wild GDT but the most hilarious thing was all the complaining about the reffing. Hawks have gotten 11 powerplays. Wild have gotten 15. When you go 0/15 on powerplays that's your own damn fault, not some one-sided referee conspiracy.

That plus, and I understand why Wild fans may not have experience with this, it's the playoffs so the refs tend to swallow their whistles a little more and let them play more physical.

What do you mean not really?

Handzus was on the 2nd line, usually matched up against Koivu or Cullen.

Kruger was matched up against their 3rd/4th lines for the most part. (ie/ not Koivu/Cullen)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing and believe it was a special case because he is a goalie. Had it been another position, they'd have just had to deal with it. At the same time, I'm pretty sure Backstrom wouldn't have been allowed to play unless there was another injury.
