Linden is too nice. I can't picture him yelling at the players when the going gets rough. He'd make a good assistant though.

So what's happening? When will that arrogant GM of ours make his presser? Are we expecting the same excuses again?

He's enjoying life outside of hockey too much. Has pretty much said so in interviews.

I personally think his experience with the NHLPA jaded him a bit and he wants nothing to do with politics and all the other crap that goes along with coaching or managment.

Any other first-round firings, e.g. Tortorella. Willie Desjardins, Dallas's AHL coach. Arniel would have to be on the list, as bad a choice that would be. Brent Sutter's name would probably come up, but he's not really a good fit for us. Randy Cunneyworth is a little tarnished by the mess in Montreal last year, but he's out there. There a half-dozen or more AHL guys who might get a look. Of current NHL assistants, maybe John Stevens (LA), Curt Fraser (Dallas), Lane Lambert (Nashville), or Dave Barr (NJ).

Going off the board, Ulf Dahlen would be an interesting choice, he's had a little experience as an NHL assistant and he's done well back in Sweden. Tom Rowe had a good year in the KHL after three years as an assistant in Carolina and four in the AHL. And I guess there's always Don Hay.

In short, Garrioch's a moron. There's no shortage of candidates.

Yes, I agree with what your saying, and I surely wont defend AV too much, I mean he is the one making the decisions. But, when you're given the team you're given and none of them (to a man) show any sort of desire, it's gotta be tough. Should he go? Yes, I think so, but I also think he had 20 guys drive him to the airport.

So would I. Both should go but AV will be first.

Don't want anything to do with Tortorella (if he is fired or whatever). The Rangers have a harder time creating offense than we do.

They're did it a few years ago when they were going through a long losing streak. Maybe yelling isn't the right word but someone to light a fire under the players' butts.

He was the one that managed the clock so well he had the Sedins with Edler-Bieksa out there in the final minute of game 3 - back when we STILL had a realistic chance at winning the series. He was the one who gave more minutes to the Edler-Beiksa pairing than the Hamhuis-Garrison pairing. He was the one that decided to switch goalies - when that was really the ONLY thing not wrong with the team.

AV might've been dealt a bad hand (I question that though) - but he screwed himself by playing his hand so poorly.

the way you write it is how i understand his system when properly applied Tiranis. I really think Boucher's the one. I hope he wants to come here.

It's 10:42, do you know where your coach is and why he still has a job?

Boucher.

Anyone asking for Ruff has no idea what kind of a coach he is. He'd be hated here.
