Wont really coach, just agree with analysts and tell our team to score more goals at practice.

Ruff and AV have a way too similar style.

RC, can you explain why Bowness is on this list?

what i would have done.

so easy to fix. gilles should have traded shnieder plus 2nd round draft pick to jackets for brassard and moore and mason. then get jagr on deadline not roy. nucks would have been better and luongo wasnt bad all year. mason capable back up , nucks would have a solid second line with kessler , jagr and brassard. i should be the gm. the window though was game 7 2011 vs bruins that was the pivitol moment. nucks have to wait 20 yrs to get a sniff of the cup. its the reality of the situation here. gilles didnt do nothing and vignalt takes tha fall.

Worst proposed Schneider trade ever.

Faceoffs and not letting all four lines to be trigger happy is what killed us. Playoffs is all about ugly goals and AV preaches only high percentage plays.

19 out of 20 recent cup winners had positive shot differential. Canucks were negative this year.

AV might've been dealt a bad hand (I question that though) - but he screwed himself by playing his hand so poorly.
Agreed! Those were the 2 worst decisions of the series. However, and not to defend AV too much, shouldn't the #3 seed and the players we have someway somehow pull it together for at least one win. He was out coached by Quennville and Julien in those series', but to make all sorts of decisions throughout a series and have your players fail in every single facet of the game - 4 games straight just seems too unbelievable.

Eakin or bust. We need someone who's able to get something out of our prospects and rookies.

I do wonder how well ray Ferraro would do as a coach. His in game analysis is spot on. He talks a lot but a colour guy is always asked to spell off the PBP guy to give him a breather and to fill air time. I like him. Obviously he doesn't have experience but I like his thinking and ability to call a spade a spade.

I would worry a bit about a rookie coach coming into a veteran laden dressing room. Could be fine but you might want someone like Boucher who at least has a few seasons under his belt.

Doubled over with laughter when I saw the suggestion of Bowness.

A definately NO for me, we need coaching experience.

On the other hand Ferraro seems very knowledgable in terms of players and most of the time I agree with him, I think he is more suited for a GM role.

I still can't believe the management of the defense in this series. Bieksa got outchanced by a 2:1 margin at even strength including an embarrassing 15 to 2 over the final 2 games yet he led the team in ES ice time.

Meanwhile Garrison basically sawed off chances and was the team's best defender during the regular season and he sat at 4th for ES TOI with 14 fewer ES minutes than Bieksa over the 4 games. In the final 2 games where the Canucks as a team were outchanced 28 to 10 at ES he somehow walked out even at 5 for and 5 against.

Rick Bowness?! He should be gone before AV imo. Dude can't run the defence to save his life (or in this case, his job).

Well scoring seems to be the problem so we need to spark the offense by replacing AV with Ron Wilson. But seriously, all the coaches I'd be willing to replace AV with are all employed by other NHL teams. I'd rather see AV back than have Boucher or Ruff coaching this team (or some coach unestablished at the NHL level like Eakins).
