Does anyone know if there's an android app that gives score alerts when it's in your pocket? So for instance, you can configure it so if the Rangers score it vibrates once, and if the Caps do it vibrates twice?
Must win game. If we lose this game, the Caps will gain a lot of pep in their skates and it'll be virtually impossible to take 3 in a row without everyone stepping up and playing a perfect team game every game and if the regular season is any indication, the perfect game with fully performing players is not our fate.
This year's Rangers are not a tough team. Last year's were kind of tough--not anything extraordinary. It's an element that helps in the playoffs. Last year Ottawa, Washington, New Jersey all had big wingers who could grind all night long. Eventually the attrition wore our team down. Finding players that are big, tough and can play is not always an easy thing. Here--sometimes people just want to find more offense no matter the type of player. Skill is a big part of winning but it's not enough on it's own. Look at what happened to Pittsburgh last year--and they're having problems again this year.
How to put together a team that has enough skill, enough defense, great goaltending, enough size, grit and youth and then there is depth--and then fit it under the cap and be a legit contender at the same time? It's a rubik's cube. Throw in the elements of lucky bounces and no or very few injuries. That's how you win a championship.
Just take away one element and the whole thing falls apart. Holding things together is another thing which is almost an impossibility.
Well, we are getting Clowe back so that should help some, also MSG just showed a quote from Ovechkin saying he's not scared to go to the corners against Girardi and McDonagh because he knows he's not going to get hit, so it's nice to know. I do agree with you that not only is this team not tough, but they seem lazy as hell at times also. Kind of strange when we have players like Dorsett, Clowe, Callahan, Asham on the ice. Nash needs to stop being a marshmellow out there, seems like he was tougher in Columbus, that's not good. Nash still thinks he can dangle through a team, he needs to utilize his teammates more, look at a guy like Boyle, imagine he had Nash's talent? The guy would be a 1st line center. We need more balls, more jam, less lazy play. LGR!
I just looked at the caps board and wow either they know sh^% about hockey or there ignorant bas%$#@!.They talk like they finished with a 10x better record than us yet they only had one more point than us and we had 1 key player missing the last month or so. what dumb@$$&$
