Question: If the untouchable players aren't sent offers during the NEXT advance, do you guys think we should keep them as free agents or let people send offers to them?

Not sure what to do about all that talent wasting away.

I think it depends whether those CPU teams sign the other guys. In other words, if Carolina signs Bergeron or Sedin, then make the Staals available. That way, the teams stay somewhat balanced.

Else let em be, but should get them signed back to before season starts...else we'll have a cpu team who definately will loose every match during the season...

Well, LA is getting the boot since he sent three offers to players on the untouchables list.

You can come back once you read this thread and quote the rule which you broke.

Also, isn't Hagelin a Rangers player? Ottawa sent him an offer as well.

I just avoided all guys who are Rangers / Canes / etc. in real life. It was too hard to keep track of who moved where. I will say that I just about screwed up on Gaborik--think he counted as CBJ instead of NYR.

Psyched about the advance. IF it goes my way, I think I'll have a pretty nice team. If not, it might be a pretty long year--particularly with the sims, since the AI won't leave Benn at center.

Gaborik was a Ranger when we started this league, and I know for a fact he was never traded.

I will be booting Ottawa as well. We need GMs who are active both on HF and on Xbox. No either/or guys.

Yeah, like I said, I figured it out before I sent the offer--but I had to think about it for a second.

I've been in too many GM leagues where it's been "Kovalchuk against the world!" So, I'm trying to get a little help!

Cards on the table?

I offered Sedin $9 million and Bergeron $7.5. Probably just should have gone $10 x 3 for one or the other.

Not as fun as Bluth Fantasy where I threw a crapload of money at Vanek and Lundqvist, but I've got some solid offers out to Kulemin, Boyle, and Klesla, and maybe Kunitz, I can't remember, although the only one I think I have a decent chance at is Klesla, something like $4.5mil per year.

Edit: Klesla and Kunitz have signed here.

Commish, you're $15 million over the cap... $10 million a piece to Bergeron and Sedin?

just saying, next offseason there has to be a rule where you can't offer over the amount of cap space you have, **** like this shouldn't be happening

Went into free agency with $12mil in cap space, then spent $7.7mil combined for this year on Kunitz and Klesla. I now have $13.5mil in cap space. Alright then.
