If you're banking on Edler to become a reliable top pairing defenseman then you're screwed.

I think he could be moved because of how well Etem and Palmieri have played. If we could pick up an early draft pick, like top 5, I would jump on it. It we could get a proven LW and a young prospect, I'd probably consider that if I were GM. Obviously depends, but for now, Bobby is still cheap and plays a nice game for us.

Moving Ryan sucks because he is an elite player, we just don't have a spot for him really. He doesn't live up to his potential on a line with Perry and Getz and we have never had the right line mates for him, and getting those linemates will be near impossible without moving a contract like his. I just have this sick feeling we'll move him to some east coast team and he'll have a 40 goal season and idiot fans will be like ''LOL WHY'D U GUYZ TRADE RYAN AND WHY DID HE NEVER DO GOOD IN ANAHEIM LOLZ'' when anyone with any intelligence knows it's just a matter of us not really having a spot for him.

In his defense as much as a lot of people have said he has been invisible this series, In game 2 I thought he played lights out and I think he was on the ice for 3 of the goals? Game 4 as bad as RPG were I actually saw Ryan trying to throw some hits etc., I definitely don't think his problem is a lack of effort like some people have said, he seems like a genuinely hard working guy who hates to lose..I just think at some times when he's on the ice he doesn't know how to impact the flow of the game when he doesn't have the puck on his stick.

I love Ryan but I think it would be best for him and us to move him IF WE CAN GET VALUE in a spot that we need filled, not an equivalent or worse winger and a prospect or something.

Moving Ryan this summer at the draft makes a lot of sense. Send him to the East while he still has trade value. Pick up a young player and a first round pick.

Couturier and Flyers 1st rd pick.

Coutourier's a lot less attractive to me now with my Boner in hand, and after the season he had. I think I'd want a little more certainty out of a Ryan trade.

I see no reason to trade Bobby now, I could see him being traded for a top10 pick this year or a 1st pairing Dman. All this If briere gets bought out and wants to come to anaheim

If we could get a top 5 draft pick or a proven top 6, possibly top line LW, I'd consider it.

Bobby is a top line LW. He just doesn't mesh with our top line RW + C.

I doubt other teams would move their top line LW for our top line LW.

I wonder if we could get something like Simmonds and Couturier for Ryan and Sbisa. That would be something I'd be interested in although I have no idea how desperate Holmgren will be this offseason.

I'd be willing to do Ryan for Simmonds straight up so I'd probably be OK with your package deal.

I'd rather trade Ryan for a good, youngish defenceman. Staal was mentioned, but the Rangers also have Girardi, McDonagh, and Del Zotto.

**** yes. Enough with the Couturier crap. He was producing like a third liner this year. Bonino on the other hand has been producing like a 2C.

Is it a surprise that Couturier produces like a third liner, considering he is a third liner?

Bonino found ways to produce even when he was on our 4th line.

Perhaps it's because Bonino isn't a fourth line player, where as Couturier is a third line player. Also, the Flyers were just a mess in general this season.

Sorry, I may be misreading what you meant.

As to the second part, we were a mess last year and Bones still put up 18 points from the third line in 50 games. Couturier essentially matched that this year. I think Couturier will be the better player when all is said and done, but that could be two to three years down the line. We have no reason to think that it's all going to break loose next season when we need it.

Murray used up his mulligan last season. I doubt he'll stake his job on a gamble like that, especially when it further weakens us at left wing in the process.

What I'm saying is Bonino is clearly better than a 4th line player, where as Couturier does not strike me as more than a third line center, maybe a second line one in his peak if his offense improves.

We'd need somebody much better than Upshall coming back in the package. He has negative value. So you're essentially offering us a good young defenseman and a cap dump for a 4 time 30 goal scorer. Gudbranson does not hold that much value

Seems like we're on the same page, then. Apologies.
