Loving it. Love how ****ing beastly Brassard and Moore have been, I love what I've seen from Dorse so far, and I love the fact that I was right about this trade at the time it happened.

Like I said when the trade was made, this has Gorton's prints all over it.

We haven't seen much from Dorsett yet...

Brassard is looking great and Moore is showing a lot of potential....

It certainly will as his abdomen issue is directly related to his previous hip injuries. He is probably going to see Dr. William Meyers with Vincera Core Physicians.

Dorsett should be the least of everybody's concerns. He's a proven NHL commodity and once he has a full season as a Ranger I'm sure he'll be a fan favorite in no time.

Still wont make up for Gabby's 40 annual goals, but we are alot deeper as a team. I don't think this trade gets made if Richards wasn't laboring/half-dead and if Staal didn't go down. Would have loved to see a healthy Gaborik in the playoffs for us, I'll always have a soft spot for him.

Yeah I just found the comment in the post I quoted to be a bit puzzling.

Did not like this trade at all when it happened, but it has proved to be a success.

Very impressed with Brassard Moore. Dorsett might need some time after coming off the injury.

NHL stats must be wrong, they don't have Gabby as having potted 40 this season.

110%. Gorton likes big guys who can skate and compete. Dorsett? Moore? He knew those players.

Dorsett needs to stay out of the box.

True, though I thought that tripping call was a little iffy by the refs, if only because they ignored a pretty obvious trip on Nash a few minutes earlier when he was trying to cut towards the net. If he wasn't springing himself for a breakaway, I doubt the refs blow the whistle.

While I agree, the occasional bad penalty is unavoidable with guys like him. He plays on the edge and it's bound to happen, even to the best of them.

Was the trip bad? I had to watch on local TV and they didn't really show a replay. Usually when they don't show the replay it's because it was a soft call, and that doesn't fit into their narrative of "the refs are ****ing us!"

It wasn't really that bad. Unfortunate positioning of the stick and it got caught between the defenseman's legs. Nothing intentional about it.

The trip was a call that at first looked like a bad call, but on replay looked more like something that could or could not be called. I thought the defenseman put himself in position to be tripped. He still has taken some bad penalties is the only games he played.

We heard about grit and energy. Those things are great when they don't result in being short-handed. And the more bad penalties he takes, the less benefit of the doubt he's going to get with the refs.

I think if Dorsett doesn't come away with the puck on a semi-break, it doesn't get called.
