Same here. Budaj can't be worst than Price. I'm with Tuggy though, the injuries up front could cost. This game depends on how Ottawa comes out. If we keep hitting and grinding it out, I like our chances, but if we try to play a safe road game, they'll walk all over us.

On the icings, I think the Gonchar one was bad, but EK's I was fine with calling. Dmen don't have to sprint back to get the puck, they just have to make a reasonable attempt to collect the puck in a normal manner. Had icing been waved off prior to EK skating back, he wouldn't have retrieved that puck any faster. Plus, the linesman were calling it in the same manner the entire game.

Either way, on the EK one, the puck was cleared and a line change made before any goal. Montreal was scored on because they didn't defend well enough - not because of the faceoff on an icing call.

Agreed. We need a quick goal to deflate the crowd tonight, 'cause they'll be crazy.

Absolutely. Budaj's an awesome veteran goaltender - the goal in Game 4 OT deflected with no chance of him saving it. I'm actually very nervous about this game.

We've been injured all season and have had guys (virtual unknowns to others outside of Sens Fans) come up and earn their spots. I'm hoping Montreal doesn't follow suit

Price always had a shaky mental, Budaj played well near the end of the season.
I hate when people don't take players seriously enough, but this is one time where I don't think this hurts the Sens at all to have Budaj in there. We've gotten to him before in the regular season, we shook him up quickly in OT. I think this is as winnable as possible with him in there....but...we all know how legends are born - this very situation.

Agree with the above posters. Montreal looks physically spent. I respect and admire their effort given the injuries, but they don't look like a team that has the physical energy to win three games in a row. Sometimes a team is just to beat up to be their best, that Habs have that look to me. But they sure do fight as best they can, and that's admirable.

I could be wrong though.

I'd like to see the video of the whole sequence again cause I sure remember being pretty frustrating as a habs fan but I won't pretend I'm entirely right since I can prove anything anyway.

And look, I know I'm not gonna win the icing argument cause the horde is out and I don't feel like fighting this morning. Also, I got over it and looking forward for tonight's game. Just don't get angry if a habs fan call this questionable, cause it was, since, you know, it is being questioned.

If you're genuinely interested in seeing it, CBC has the replay...

Go to 2:44:00 to see the sequence after the icing.

Time to finish this series and start preparing for Boston/Pittsburgh...because that series is going to be a ton harder and we'll be legitimate underdogs going in.

I'd rather lose with Budaj now then later (well unless we win the cup ), then going in next year with the media trying to create a goalie controversy.

Mike Blunden draws in tonight for the Habs.

I'm gonna be Blunden say that it won't help.

TSN690 saying that the sens will be fired up from Subbans comments. And that if the habs were going to capatalize on the sens being too complacent that is not possible now as they will be ready to go.

Personally I love the comments.

To all the dumb sens fans already focusing on round 2: Shut upppppppppppp. 4th win is the hardest. 3-1 comebacks happen all the time. They are a wounded animal right now. Capatilize and close the deal.

Good teams know how and when to win. Detroit is classic example of this; seems like they know exactly when to go for the jugular.

Hopefully not.
Perhaps you should grow a thicker skin. Obviously referees and injuries were part of the problem but they don't explain everything. If you are fully aware of this you shouldn't be annoyed by dumb excuses.

Its so funny how medias took Subban interview and made it a top red-hot priority topic on NHL website. Because its Subban speaking, its going to make a load of controversy, but comming out of any other players mouth, would have been under the radars. Anyway i got nothing to say against his comments, its ok he still belive in his team and his team chances to win the series, who wanna bash him for that?
