It boggles my mind that passion and excitement and energy are things we frown upon in a group setting.

Guys like Jordan Peddle and Rhett Rachinski stepped up time and time again in last year's final. We haven't seen those kind of heroics from depth players during this playoff drive.

What people will say is sit your adhd ass down, stop taking pictures of people across the aisle and standing up waving at them like giggling school girls while the game is going on. Or mentioning that you're leaning over the entire game thereby preventing any view for people behind them.
Or people commenting on exactly how many times they have to get up and down and not see the game in progress as people with the attention span of gnats scurry off down the row and aisle every few minutes in search of the the latest need/want from concessions, beer stand, or merchandise while the game is going on.
Or people that standup and highfive each hit on the ice like a goal was scored.

Or finally, the 1K imbeciles in attendance that see it as their life long mission to get up on their feet and try to start drunk wave the entire game. These individuals usually being so inebriated they couldn't tell you the score or what event they are at. Could be Megadeath.

So next time you think somebody is tapping your sholder because you're cheering too loud you probably got it wrong. Said fans probably want to actually see the game and have others in attendance actually watch the game.

Could be that..
Funny. I don't do any of that crap.

You don't agree? And sell outs of 16 000 seat buildings don't happen in junior hockey unless a host team makes the Memorial Cup final.

We need this game tonight. Similar position and feel to last year's series. The Oil Kings need to come out crashing and banging, get early pressure and ride the wave from there. Brossoit needs to make the early saves that he didn't yesterday. Samuelsson has to quit with the lazy play and dumb retaliatory actions become a factor again.

GO OIL KINGS GO!

Oil Kings just can't find the net and the Winterhawks open the scoring very late in the first.

Leipsic with the goal... again. Gernat had a very ugly sequence on the play.

1-0 Portland after 1 period. The Oil Kings have a powerplay for 1:56 to start the 2nd but they're on a ridiculous 0 for 26 streak with the man advantage. It's got to end sometime... right? ...

Our boys just can't compete with the Winterhawks... especially sans Reinhart and Cheek.

I didn't realize it has been that bad. Portland is a strong team.

There's zero physicality and nastiness in this game. It feels like a nothing October game opposed to Game 4 of a finals series especially when you consider the crowd noise/atmosphere.

2-1 for the Winterhawks now early in the 3rd. Moroz finally showed up.... on the powerplay to boot.

That's going to haunt Lazar and the team.

Yup. And with his dad in the building no less. Methinks that he's going to need some consoling after this one. God, he's had a repugnant series.

There's a chance he could be in for Game 5 but it's too late now.

It was a good run for the Oil Kings this season, but this final is all but over now. Curious to know what this team is going to look like next year?

We're set in net with Tristan Jarry but there are a lot of other question marks. I'm confident in Bob Green's ability to plug the holes in the roster, though. Their run as an elite team might be over for a year or so.

As painful as that ending was, I think we win game 5. No guarantees after that, but Carruth played over his head in the third and the puck luck still wasn't there for the Kings.

Kudos to this Portland team though. Far more poised than last year's edition.

Hopefully Cheek can make a triumphant return on Friday.

"See ya Sunday." - Derek Laxdal on his way out of the post-game press conference. Oil Kings in do or die mode now. Game 5 Friday in Portland
Love Laxdal's defiance. Hopefully it rubs off on his players.

Sorry, guys, this is one me. I've been to every playoff game and many regular-season games this year, but missed the last two as I was out of the country. I guess they missed me cheering loud and hard.

I guess they also have missed Reiner and Cheek a lot, as we knew they would. I think we're done next game. Unfortunately....

I don't know what next year's team will be like, much weaker I'm guessing.

I think we will have a strong team next year, just not as strong, but still a top tier team. We will have Jarry back in net, and then on D we will have Corbett, Sautner, Mayo, and I Reinhart will be back. Then forward we will still have lazar, Samuelsson, leagult, baddock, moroz, and more with the chance of Ewanyk being our 2nd line center. I also think Riley Simpson will join the team.

I am not too worried about this team next year, but lets stop with this next year talk the season is not done and no need to quit on the team.

I don't like to be told what to do, so I'll add this: the team will likely be good, but don't know how close we'll be to challenging for a division title.

As for not giving up on them this year, sorry but we're done. I'd love to be wrong but the boys haven't played well enough to seriously challenge a very good Portland team. Freaking cheater - hate them.
