Yes, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
OK that explains the unusual intelligence & wisdom displayed in your post.

I have this terrible fear that I'll pull a hammy on the run or something haha. I only get one shot at it.

Apparently I remember it differently. In my grad student years I used to take my then 5-year-old son to Hobby Bunker in Malden via Orange line roughly every other week. He was obsessed with model trains. We couldn't afford one back then, so he just ogled.

You're nuts. The green line is worst. Orange line at least moves faster than 2 miles an hour.

Now I hope this series ends in 5 so we all get a couple nights off and you can watch this.

I give women a pass, because to me, Anchorman is the dude version of a "chick flick." It's a must-see for guys my age. On the other hand, Christina Applegate hangs right there with Will Ferrell in the humor department. I have a thing for women who can crack a distasteful joke, not miss a beat and feel no shame about it.

In other news, got an email today from someone asking about our 20th high school reunion. That was a slight kick in the nads. I'm trying to sort out if this means I'm on the hook for organizing it, seeing as how I haven't even been to any of the previous ones.

...and allergies suck. I am dragging ass today and am pretty sure I'll pass out during afternoon rounds.

I'm not texting anyone about anything. My phone is dead, on the floor, and I'm too exhausted to put it on a charger.

Shaun of the Dead was awful.

Nope. Woke up last night about 10, screamed until 2. I took her for an hour long drive. She woke up screaming again at 5. Pediatrician swabbed for strep - negative, and negative on an ear infection. Said it's likely one of the various summer viruses in children right now, and it would run it's course over the weekend.

OH JOY

Baby is sleeping at the moment though. The quiet is kinda creepy.

And California, Big Lebowski was a solid film. I'll give you that one.

Heading out at 5:00 to pick up son # 1 at UMass and bring him home for the summer. What an incredibly fast year. Looking forward to having him around. Although I expect there to be quite a transition. No 24 hour food here or sleeping 18 hours.

I expect nothing packed, dirty laundry, and my back to hurt like hell.

If she's asleep you should try to sleep too instead of posting on a hockey message board. That you save for when she's awake & screaming

Have a safe trip. We picked our daughter up yesterday. 16+ hr long trip. Glad she will be able to drive there next year. Mine was here and less then 24 hrs she had my Tahoe until she could go get her car out of storage.

As for packing...she had everything packed and we paid her friends to lug everything down 3 stories for us. The BEST $60.00 (3 friends helped) I ever spent And it took them under 15 mins to do it too.

I did that for her morning nap, which wasn't quite as long as the afternoon nap. Normally I take naps with the babe whenever I can, but it wasn't in the cards. Also, Casey or I can usually handle awake and screaming with ease, but this is a whole different beast for some reason. Poor girl is a hot mess

But, mom went to a class at the gym tonight, dad grilled some turkey sausage for baby, handled bath and the pre-bed time bottle...and the sick lil baby is now loaded up on Tylenol and has been out like a light for almost an hour. SUCCESS

...for now

Oh no, I'm sure he has everything packed. By packed, I mean everything has been carelessly shoved into a duffel bag and a rubbermaid tote. The clothes will all be filthy, but they'll be packed.

But you're probably right about your back hurting later, unfortunately. Something tells me you'll sleep fine knowing your boy is back home though

yessum. They are sponsoring my presentation, and the guy is in town for a trade show. So I get to meet two other execs as well. Had to go buy new shoes. Cant meet Nikon with holes in your shoes.
its a meet and greet, fairly casual.
