Burns has been here for 2 years and we have a better record with him in the lineup as well with "nothing to show for it", so is he also a problem?

I am allowed to have an opinion, and whether you like it or not doesn't concern me really. Simple solution is to not respond..I am not the only one who thinks Havlat has underwhelmed in his time here due to injury, I just voice my opinion moreso than some others.
You are entitled to your opinion and so am I. Most on here like Havlat. He played 40 out of 48 games this year. And he is out now probably because of the Bieksa groin shot (I know he said that wasn't what hurt but he missed all the shifts after that and teams like to keep injuries a secret).

Again...there are no guys that can replace Havlat.

He also missed a lot of games due to injury and makes more than Havlat.

Never know?? Hannan has disproved ALL OF YOU KNOW IT ALLS using stats and numbers to say he'd suck..Anything is possible if there is a chance given;

No you ship him out this summer and look for a replacement.......

Someone asked if the break between rounds is beneficial for Havlat, and he responded by saying it's helpful for the boys to get some rest, but nothing really changes for him. I do not like the sound of that.

Ahh, but Hannan has proven our scouting, player development, and coaching staffs correct! Which implies we should trust them on Marty as well

This Havlat thing you're one is starting to get really pathetic.
I agree but that just seems unfair to Tierney, he was playing on a checking line for the most part. Still 5th on his team in scoring but he has no business being in the NHL right now.

So are you ok with spending 10mil the next 2 years on someone who may or may not play because he is injury prone?? It just doesnt make sense.. I understand what Marty can bring to this team. This is a gamble I dont think we should take..

first off I take offense. i was arguing hannan/stuart as a pairing and i still dont like them together.

but lets be realistic. did anyone predict vancouver would be THAT terribad. didnt even look like the vancouver i know let alone a team that stood a chance against us.

but alright ill play your game.

havlat had 27 points in 39 games in his freak season.

only jamie mcginn came close in 60 games. so his production even in a partial season would probably be equal to that of an AHL player, not to mention theyd likely drag their linemates down in possession.

you cant score without shooting right? well in 39 games havlat shot the puck more than anyone that would replace him either except mcginn who only shot it 8 more times in 28 more games.

im not really sure what youre even arguing, except that we should dump havlat for cap reasons.

i have argued before that coaches need to take a risk now and then (see tennyson) but this one doesnt make sense. his production in injured seasons is still better than any scrub wed put up there.

Yes and you've voiced that opinion many-a-time. We get it. You're allowed to have your opinion but do we need to hear it all the time?

Fire Mike Aldrich for filling them up to full. They're heavy!

Equipment managers handle that, right? I wasn't sure if it was them or the trainers.

You can't fire Mike Aldrich! He's the best equipment manager IN THE UNIVERSE!! Hubble is looking but can't find a better one.

I'm pretty sure there were some of us, including myself, who acknowledged Hannan would most likely be better in a clutch-and-grab environment that's more prevalent in the playoffs.

What replacement is there to get that would easily replace Havlat's spot on the top line, how much would Havlat bring back, and how much would that replacement cost? We'd most likely come out negative in terms of assets, and not really get anything to show for it. Free agency is never a legitimate option for the Sharks. Viktor Stalberg I'm holding out on because we have his brother in the system, but I doubt we get him.

We've had him for 2 years. Are you going to put down Brent Burns too because we lost to the Blues last year? Since that's what you're doing to Havlat.

I think it's the thing that initially caused his "maintenance day" against the Kings the last game of the year, and he re-injured himself.

We haven't won a Cup since acquiring Joe Thornton, clearly that was a bad trade and Jumbo is useless. Same with that Boyle fellow. Bums, the lot of them.

Hypothetical: If the Wild offered Setoguchi strait up for Havlat, would you say yes?

Havlat has booted more great scoring chances that Mike Grier on a the top line with Joe Thornton. Add the fact that he has built zero chemistry with anyone on this team and you get a player who has severely underperformed imo.
