I actually would love to see the Sens win it. I like a lot of their players. Karlsson and Alfie, especially.

Not really.

Another season without a Cup.

Hope Bergevin opens his eyes and takes a look around to see what a real NHL playoff team looks like.

The end was bad, but it just shows that there's still work to be done.

I'm sure the 21k people buying the tickets would though. But yeah, it'd be awesome if we could land on a franchise player.

thank you habs for a miraculous turn around season. our downfall was once we secured a playoff spot. we could never regain our game after that.

so many positives to take away for next season. some questions, deficiencies to address but i truly believe we are on our way.

and special thanks to HF montreal section. i'm more of a rogue poster here but still feel part of the group, feeling the joy... and the pain. that's life. in the end, we're so much better and look forward to future.

love you guys and our beloved habs.

In my possibly homeristic views, I'd say Montreal was better in every area but goaltending and getting traffic to the net where Ottawa showed they're an NHL team and Montreal wasn't very good (goaltending) and IHL material in terms of net traffic. ****ing hate that. Such ********. Every ****ing year players who refuse to screen.

I predicted a 12th place at the beginning of the season. I don't know how to feel about that. The team was good/great for the first 35, but it just awful for the last 18. I don't know how that would have played out in an 82 game season. Regardless, this group did show good things and we can't forget that this is very much a rebuilding team!

I would feel a tad better if Desharnais wasn't coming back next season.

Fun year watching the Habs. Lots of positives. Reason to have hope and look forward to next year. Just hope MB is as sharp as we think he is and that he sticks with the plan of building a long term contender.

He really looked like he did. You could tell by the way me played down the stretch when he was struggling. Something didn't seem right.

Season was fun until about game #40. Then the **** hit the fan. The team played pretty rotten since then, and ran into a hot goalie in the playoffs to boot. Pretty disgraceful way to go out, a 6-1 stinker where it was clear they were already mentally on the golf course from the moment the puck dropped for the third period.

Short season makes it hard to tell if the first 40 games were the true face of the team, or if they were reverting to form in the last 13. I can't be an optimist tonight. We get to 'celebrate' our 20th anniversary of our last Cup with this sour taste. That puts us about halfway to the Leafs level of futility. Not a fun night to be a Habs fan.

Let's see...5 on 5 play Habs give up a lot of goals from point shots...so it only makes sense to change the PK to a diamond formation that gives up tons, and I mean tons, of point shots. It does make sense doesn't it?

I mean why use your speed to harass the points and try and generate some breakaways.....not one shortie this year, that's embarassing.

I doubt Bergevin's speech in the dressing room will be quite the same as the clinch

"I'm so ****ing embarrassed by you guys."
