Anyone else notice Alfie and Turris joking on the bench with MacLean about calling a timeout?

Sens played good, a lot of credit goes to the way they played, but I still feel Habs gave them the series by not playing really well. This defense needs help and resigning Bouillon wasn't the right move. I hope this offseason will see they good moves beign done. I hope we'll put some money on a guy that can help the team in case of injuries so that we don't have to give guys like Moen or Desharnais roles they can't fill. Desharnais is better than what he showed in this series, but he needs to get less ice time, he's too small to play that much.

It's not as simple as all that. Yes, they did have better goaltending, and Anderson was awesome. But for one -- the goaltender is part of the team. Secondly a lot of our shots sucked. We were able to keep possession in their zone for extended periods but the Leafs are doing the same thing with Bruins, but guys are being manhandled in front of the net and are not able to get to rebounds or get decent shots off.

20 long years since a cup... 1993... I would have partied harder if I had known.
An entire generation of Hab fans that have never known the sweet sweet sound of "Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Champions"
I honestly feel bad for you...keep the faith!
You were really expecting the Habs to win a Cup tbis year ?

Come on. Winning one Series would already had been a huge achievment for this team.

Very disappointing ending to our season. It was a fun season, especially compared to last year. Injuries were too much during the playoffs unfortunately, though that is no excuse. I really think the loss of Eller was bigger than expected, we needed that center depth and he was playing really well at the time. Some tinkering is definitely needed though.

Too many little girlie players on this team.

Ryder, Pac, DD, Pleks, 1 goal between them.

All gone next year except Pac.

Can't finesse your way to the cup, have to scratch and claw.

Finishing 2nd means nothing when you go out like this.

That is all.

So Pacioretty played with a separated shoulder...okay....but how about his knee? Or his foot? Ankle? 'Cause the guy had NO SPEED whatsoever.

If I was the GM, this is what needs to happen in the off season:

-Don't resign Ryder
-Trade Diaz, White, Desharnais
-Draft Fucale with our 1st pick or early 2nd pick
-Draft big-body forwards with the rest of our picks
-Shop Price (Not saying trade him, just shop him to see if there are any good deals)
-Sign Jagr
-Ensure that Diaz is traded

I'm not convinced we have it in us to even make it to OT against Boston. Last night was a heartbreaker. Hope we can win at least one more to enjoy at least one more playoff game at home.

Looking forward to amping up the greatest rivalry in hockey with you guys again next year. For all of the hate that lingers between our fanbases, we do have things in common. We are the two most storied franchises, with the two largest and most passionate fanbases. Needless to say, last season was a disaster and both fanbases deserve much better than that, which is what we got this season, regardless of how our playoffs went. I think most of you will agree that this league is better when both the Habs and Leafs have great teams that can compete and make some noise in the playoffs. Both of our fanbases deserve it. Cheers guys.

It doesn't matter anymore..they can do whatever they want. The season's is over. We have nothing to be ashamed of. Very good results for a transition year. This summer is gonna be busy and hopefully we will get bigger, stronger, better.

Sens fan here. I have to say your team played tough, and we had some lucky bounces go our way, but the worst luck was losing Price. We have a lot in common though, we both cheer for team Canada and we both hate the leafs more than anything...next time boys.

The DD extension is something I am still confused about.

Resign ryder if its a one year deal, would be good for our depth and possible trading asset at the deadline.
Ryder will want multiple yaers coming off 2 of his best years. Possibly 3-4.

Habs shoulda been up 4-2 at before the Sens' shorty. Can't miss that many open nets vs. hot goalie.

If Price would bring us MacKinnon or Drouin. Or a top talent like Taylor Hall:. Yes !

I think it's more worry about getting to high speeds and worry about colliding into someone with the separated shoulder.

There is no rivalry. No one cares about the sénateurs.

I agree but this season brought some fun and pride to this organisation.. but then again.. we all see how the game is played and officiated in the playoffs.. we were not equiped to win in the playoffs
