Yeah, he finished the game, iirc. As far as Tollefsen, might as well. We are pretty good with dmen.

we never signed grebeshkov, and he played very well with us up to his injury. he was well worth a 2nd rounder

I wasn't clear. I was thinking of prospects or players not already in the NHL. Sorry.

but this costs us no assets, and unless he's getting some unreasonable salary, is a very low risk move.

I would assume it'll be a one way just high enough it counts if they try to send him down, just for his own job security.

The Predators have tried to sign him twice. Before 2011/12 they offered him a one way 600k deal, but his club Modo in SEL wouldn't let him go.
Before this year, they offered him 650, but this time Tollefsen said no, due to his newborn child, and some illness in near family.
This time, it's rumored that he is close to or have already agreed to terms.
He has improved very much as a hockey player during his three years in Sweden, playing top minutes, and not dressed just to drop the gloves.
He has a reputation to be a hard hitting tough stay at home d man, and can be a minute eater.
Last WC i think he averaged 27 min TOI for Norway, who he have Captained for three or four years now.
He is a great locker room guy, and I'm sure you will learn to like the guy.

Me, I want him to stay in SEL, we strongly need him on our national team, but I know that's selfish, so I wish him all the best if he become a Predator.

So are we compensating Farjstad? If so it better not be much or else this guy better be damn good.

Yep, but think more Shane O'Brien because he is bigger and drops the gloves more.

gotcha. Do we really need another sob type? I guess a good crease clearer and physical body is always needed though.

I'm pretty sure SOB was a better skater.

That said, I haven't watched either of 'em play in quite some time.

You can take a look at his skills if you follow Norway during the upcoming World Championships in a couple of weeks.

If you have a soft blueline he'll certainly be a good addition, this video shows some of his physical work in the NHL and AHL.

That video does a wonderful job of showing off his abilities as an enforcer, but very little of his abilities as a defenseman, which is my primary criticism of the man.

And that is exactly what those three years in Sweden has done, developed him in to a defenseman.
He is a much better skater now, and a much better defenseman, not a big point scorer, but a tough defensive d man.
He left NA, because he was tired of just dropping the gloves, and wanted to play more.
And that was just what he became, a core/key player for Modo who he captained his last season, and 2. to 3. d man for Färjestad averaging a TOI of 18:55
For Norway, he is closer to 30 min a game. He is alongside with Holøs, the most important d man and also the Captain for the last three or four years.

That's somewhat encouraging, but frankly I'll believe it when I see it.

I love this man, but not in a gay way. So sorry to see him leave Färjestad but wish him the best of luck in the NHL.

Lol, fair enough. This seems like a great add in light of some of the concerns at the shallowness of the D prospect pool with all of the latest call-ups, should be a good buffer while we refill the tank.

Anyone else notice that a fair number of our recent adds seem to be Scandies? Love it.

Really classy move by OKT in WCs. If that is any indication, I don't want this dirtbag anywhere near our roster.
