disagree.. the Vokoun shutout was a thing of beauty... I now have an actual rooting interest in these playoffs... would love to see Vokoun lead the Pens to the Cup.. with solid goaltending the Pens would have to be considered co-favorites along with the Hawks

It has been glorious seeing Minny flail about helplessly against Chicago. Hope they have fun with the salary cap next season.

Vokoun in post-game interview reminiscing on last shutout (with Preds in 2004)

"was an amazing experience for the first playoff win with the organization. Definitely a positive memory for me"

Seemed to still have very positive memories of his time here...go Vokoun

So the Canucks are out, the Wild are out, and the Habs are out. Not bad.

Just need the Ducks to take care of business tomorrow in "hockeytown" and my enjoyment of this first round will be complete.

Ahhhhhhh, that does feel GOOD. Two more years of that and maybe a fat Liarpold fire sale/divorce/business scandal combo meal will satiate me entirely.

Wow, Suter with some bad numbers in the series.

0g - 0a - and a -5. Thank God he played 30 min a game.

But he held Toews to only 2 assist and a +1

Erat is jealous.

If everything were to pan out this way, does anyone else think the matchups of CHI v SJ and ANA v LA would be both great series?

If Anaheim and LA both win their series this is how the matchup would be.

Don't we need a back-up goalie next year??? (I know. He has a two year contract but it would be interesting to bring him back.)

I'd be more pissed at the LW or LD at the beginning waving his stick rather than bodying up the man who gets the primary assist.

I dont know that they really even bought that... if the season had been 50 games instead of 48 I believe the Wild would have missed the playoffs.

Gonna be interesting to see how everyone that prospered in this shortened season does over a full 82.

38 is that top 4 defender, Jack Hillen.

Jack Hillen is the perfect example of why the Washington trade was stupid, they didn't need Erat, Erat is playing horrible and it hasn't effected Washington yet. I mean 3 points in a dozen games isn't helping much, and we all know Erat's defensive game is trumped by his turnovers. Yet they made the trade for Erat, and left Jack Hillen in their top 4.

It was an awful breakdown by Washington as a whole, but at least Hillen showed some sort of effort (though uncoordinated). OV looks like the 6 Ambien he took before the game kicked in.
