First full day of work in over a month... man this sucks.

And good luck Blue Liner. I've been browsing homes again lately too. Won't be buying anytime soon, but now that we have a better idea of what our salaries will be starting this fall/winter, it's easier to gauge how much we can spend, and how much to save for a downpayment. That, and while I'd prefer to not ever buy a home... starting to reale that's not going to happen with the woman. Double whammy is I want a condo, similar to something you'd find near the Loop district in a high rise, which also ain't happening.

Thanks, and good luck to you, too.

The looking part is fun. Buying a house will be the easy part. It's amazing how gorgeous they are and how much you get for your money and how nice everything is. Selling the house here will be the hard part. Very nice house but it's still always tough to do the selling part, at least without getting lowballed, nowadays. Why we're looking into doing it now because it will likely take a while.

It's going to be a few years before anything happens, but can never start to early.

And yeah, I have fun just looking online. I've already found two places I absolutely want to move into, and would be ok with buying even with me being against buying in general. Fell in love with this one apartment already, man...

Was just about the leave the office to catch the train home to ump in Orland at 5:30. As soon as I get off the elevator I get an email from my assignor that it's canceled .

Rode the elevator back up, now having a Honker's Ale at my desk.

So FOX is rumored to be bringing back 24.. eh? I never got back into it after the writers strike, but loved the first 3-4 seasons, before it started to get too repetitive even for me. Was never interested in it after the strike, but for some reason am interested in it if they do reboot it. Sounds like they want to do a "limited" season that really caps the whole series. Can't say I know how it ended, but read on the Entertainment board that Jack went crazy at the end. Regardless of how good or bad it is, I'd imagine it will pull in some huge numbers.

Looks like it is official, and 13 episodes have been ordered.

Inspection went well. Mostly nickle and dime stuff, though the window sills were a bit deteriorated in a few spots and there was moisture seepage above one of the windows, so hopefully I can get a little money back from the seller for those.

And, to **** on an otherwise good day, came home to discover my back sliding window completely shattered and falling little clump by clump. Thankfully, it's double paned, so I'm not going to deal with an open window, but looks jank as hell.

Thankfully, was only there for about 45 minutes. Only went there because I figured that I'd take away one potential cause for confusion for a future closing to finally update my license's address, as I moved about two units down in the same apartment complex about a half year ago and never changed it.

A lot of lenders make a big deal over stuff like your ID being slightly off from all your paperwork, so figured that it's better safe than sorry.

Also, the fact that it was only $5.00 made up for the fact that apparently people don't shower in Elgin.

Also also, why the **** is the Schaumburg DMV closed on Saturdays?

I can understand an office having a random weekday off and cycle it around, but would have to imagine that Saturday's the busiest day as it's the only time that all the employed folks would have time to go.

Nothing reminds you that youve got a cut like making margaritas. Salt plus lime juice equals pain. Making habanera hot sauce doesn't help either.

Also I know am on a first name basis with the rotary district governor. Great for connections. Rotarys theme is "engage rotary, change lives" which I think is awesome since they changed my life.

Government offices don't like being open on weekends. Most people just go on their lunch during the week if they don't want to drive to other facilities.

Mazdas run on a rotary engine. They're the only major brand that uses it. It's like a spinning triangle as opposed to pistons.
