I'll never understand it.

Caps PP:

Win FO to point along boards, pass down low to goal line, pass to middle of slot, one time goal. Legit 5 seconds.

Rangers PP:

Torts must've been scared by Brassard moving around so much on an earlier PP and decided to go back to his comfort zone of Sad Brad flubbing on the PP.

we should be up 2-1 going into the third. what a disgrace. This team makes winning games so difficult on themselves. there has to be a change, going into next season. The special teams failure cannot go on any further. Buy out Richards and get a PPQB and coach.

Felt that way, but the Rangers only gave up 6 shots. They're playing fairly well defensively - I think they pull this one out in third. Caps are going to get tight being tied in the 3rd at home if the Rangers can string a few good shifts together.

They really didn't do anything until Boyle's penalty. Just set the pace of the 3rd and don't take stupid penalties

Actually Richards is keeping all his energy for the SCF. It was the plan all along.

NYR pp has looked good tonight, besides the last one where Torts decided to start the new 2nd. Why he did that I have no idea
Edit: no goals, but still good offensive pressure

I feel that way but don't believe it yet, not until the boys put it together. Gotta work the puck in and rip shots on this guy

Richards is so frustrating. He's had some killer puck luck recently, but everything he does hurts the team.

I hate to make a reference in another sport, but when you have somebody like Mark Teixeira on the Yankees, his offense sucks for the most part, but his defense is what he's out there. In hockey, you can probably make the reference to McDonagh. McDonagh's offense is nearly non-existent, but he at least brings killer defense. If you look at Gaborik, his defense was non-existent, but when he scored, his lack of defense didn't really matter. Richards has no offense, and is terrible in the defensive zone. He hurts the team by his very presence on the ice.

You just pray we get another crazy carom like we did in the first period with a player actually being there to shoot at the open net. We gotta get our heads out of our rear, grab the game by the you know whats, and create a clinching opportunity at home.

When the Rangers are good, they're good, but when they're bad, they're painful to watch. You just gotta pray something goes right...

We don't deserve to win with the way we're playing. Too much zone time for the Caps again. And Lundqvist looks really shaky to me. Not feeling it tonight.
Do you think the coaches follow Corsi at all? Zooks is the only Ranger with a positive.

If you combine his Olympics, WJCs and NHL playoffs, Nash has something like 2 goals in 25 games.

He's never been a big game or clutch player. He's never had that reputation.

Richards' decline is mind numbing. But there's plenty of hockey left today and in Game 6/7 to get on the right track.

POWERPLAY HAS BEEN GOOD????

ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

Mike Sullivan must get fired, he is terrible. These changes continuously are terrible. We need this team to come out blazing or I got a bad feeling about this

No.

The first one was good. Second one was meh.

Then it just went downhill like a Boyle slash to the legs.

Caps seemed to dominate that period and only got six shots.

Even the goal was caused by the puck jumping over Girardi's stick (the pass was perfect as was Ward's shot, but the lead up was kind of bad puck luck.)

Rangers have to come out and get a quick one. Then it might have a 1986 feel to it.

Pretty obvious though that Clowe makes a difference on the forecheck.

Jason ***hole Chimera is continuing to kill the Rangers.
