Toronto won't riot. Some union station destruction maybe but they won't riot.

This is why I don't support the MLSQ broadcasts. They'll turn into places where riots can easily start and get quickly out of control (ala Vancouver)

While I hope this isn't the case, I wouldn't hold my breathe, would be embarassing definitely it it happens.

I do anticipate Toronto has a much bigger police system than Vancouver does as well, which should help mitigate the issues.

It's the same idiots who get in fights at MLSQ with other leaf fans... how do you possibly do that? You're with your own fans and somehow get in a fight? You're clearly being an idiot looking for trouble.

Great idea, advertise during the day when people are sober/rational. Whatever logic they appeal to will still seem completely fresh and valid to bandwagon fans, drunk in downtown bars trying to impress girls at 11 tonight.

Also if there were to be a riot we wouldn't be Vancouver we'd be Montreal. If the Leafs were in the finals I could understand the possibility, we're not.

Oh man, if Toronto rioted for such an small situation, we wouldn't hear the end of it from the other fans.

It's normally not sports fans but opportunists looking to do some looting.

Ahhh this sort of thing pisses me off, it's like these people don't know the people in their own city...Leaf fans will not riot I will guarantee that and to throw ads out there is just wasted money in my opinion.. We didn't riot in 2002 when we lost and we didn't riot in '04 or any year..Rediculous

Outside the G-20 summit, I can't think of any "riot" situations in Toronto...I don't think it's that kind of city.

If people were stupid enough to riot, I doubt it would be after a first round exit(especially after the Leafs have lost two consecutive games - so there's already a "resigned" atmosphere to it all...it's not like a 7th game atmosphere were people are pumped thinking the Leafs are on the verge of moving on).

On top of that, it's too rainy to riot

I swear everyone makes too big a deal over silly signs. What happened to seeing something stupid, laughing a bit at it, and moving on?

Ya I was laughing at the people at MLSQ on LeafsTV. BUt they're still partying. Several tall boys were spotted.

The radio station is walking a fine line. The more attention it gets, the more likely a riot will be.

The rioters are only looking for attention.

If we played Montreal more fights may have happened. Walking through Union Station after the game Bruins fans were getting destroyed. I even heard a "Chara's mom's a *****" Chant lol

What fans at MLSQ did after a tough loss last Monday...

MoniKa Platek ‏@MonikaPlatek 6 May
Leafs fans chanting 'Wednesday, Wednesday!" as they pass each other in the streets. Eternally optimistic. #HockeyNight

I have faith in our fans. "There's always next year".

If there was going to be any trouble, it would have been after game 4 heartbreaking OT loss.

There was lots of anger that night directed at Dion and Reimer, and people were upset, but everyone behaved and got out of there OK.

I have no concerns at all.

Probably worth noting that anyone who has gone down to MLSQ for any of the games will tell you that there's a big security presence there. Massive deterrent to anyone thinking of trying something dumb

who actually thinks wed riot? 10k were there, at home, game 4 when we lost in OT after being up 2-0, and making the series 3-1, putting "the nail in the coffin".. thatd be the day to riot. Tonight there were 2000 people tops there with the rain in an elimination game. No rioting would of happened at all.
