Sid Sixeiro on theScore was giving Bryan Murray HUGE props not too long ago while completely ripping apart Mike Gillis. It was awesome.

What is this thread?
Seriously, it's a little inside joke that had brought laughs in the GDT. Expect some stupid ******* from Montreal or Toronto media pick it up and blow out of proportion calling for Alfredsson head.

I wish the gif were a bit longer. I remember seeing it live and MacLean lifts his head and laughs too.

Pageau was my favorite player this series. Even after Game 3. Last night he played great I thought.

The camera moves back to the ice so the gif has all that CBC showed. I was going to make a gif, but the CBC feed only has what the gif has.

Never taking any credit for how he was. Constantly giving Habs kudos for their season and their playoff play. Giving kudos to Therrien too.

I can't ever remember loving a coach this much!!
This. Truly, this. What a massive shift in identity this team has had in the past 2 years. Back in the Muckler years, folks talked about how he gave us swagger, but this is on another level completely.
This makes the Hartsburg/Clouston/Paddock years all worth it. There've been a lot of envious posters on the main board. Awesome coach and a clutch goalie? New territory for Sens fans. I'm enjoying every minute of it.

It's like bizarro Sens land.

We're enjoying it because we know the alternative VERY WELL.

It really is bizarro Sens land. I'm still getting used to the fact that this team can actually come from behind to win games.
MacLean's trolljob on Therrien kept reminding me of (please don't shoot me) how Pat Quinn used to take Jacques behind the woodshed every year. Except MacLean is way cooler.

Habs fan here in peace.

Just wanted to say that was a good series, and the Senators are an exceptional group of players.

Best of luck in round 2, and do go out and win the Cup- I prefer the team who eliminates us be the Cup winner. Makes the loss feel a bit better. :p

Very happy that the Sens took care of the Habs in 5. Lots of guys need the rest and rehab time.

With the large Hab fan base in the Ottawa-Gatineau-Valley area really glad to have a playoff win in the books.

I can only imagine what is going on in the darkest timeline now, but thankfully the roll of the die ended up in our favour.

It's interesting to go over what people thought of the Anderson deal (Weekes and Friedman got me interested when they mentioned it):

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...d.php?t=893635

Most people seem to think it's a fair deal, some think it's bad, a few hate Anderson.

I think it's turned out pretty well for us. 1 solid season, a half of a short amazing season, 2 solid playoff series.

Nailed it.

Ottawa now have plenty of cap space and tading assests if they feel the need to aquire a player. They are alot closer then most believe.

I am super happy with the end result and look at all the depth scoring we are getting. Does this mean I can start a premature thread on the main board

Here's an interesting sidebar:

Sens have more French-Canadian players than Habs.

Pageau
Benoit
Latendresse
Methot (fluent in English and French)

Desharnais
Dumont
Boullion
