If we at least push them to 7, I will it consider a series win even if we don't complete the comeback..

I swear that the CBC only cuts to commercials when the Leafs are set to get an offensive zone faceoff. I thought this was just a coincidence at first; but now it has been going on about 90% of the time at least the last 3 games.

Almost like clockwork. It's starting to really piss me off; as it's obviously at times where as a fan; you are anxious to see the next play and how the team will set up.... BAM! Another commercial.

Do they also need a commercial every second faceoff?

Damn CBC.

Absolutely pumped for this game. The Leafs are a team who have just his desperation mode and will not quit the way the Habs did. I fully expect a great effort by the team, regardless the result. GO LEAFS GO

I'm starting to think it's their attempt to remain "unbiased" as the studio is based in Toronto. Though their "neutral" standpoint is more of a "biased towards the opponents all the time". Imagine the complaints if they started broadcasting with a positive Leaf attitude. The complaint letters from all over Canada would be pouring in. Just look at the **** TSN gets when most of the time they don't even do Leaf games.

The worst part is that the same commercials are on a constant loop. SO annoying.

The first period was something new to me. I have never seen Boston turn the puck over like that. MAC splitting the D?! Is this NHL 13?

What a good game. Leafs played a solid 52 minutes there and I am damn proud of them. Take a look at Jake Gardiner folks. We are not trading him + Bozak for Courtier or something. Defence is way too important.

But holy **** do we need to win a faceoff

Obyrne, Kostka and maybe even Liles should not be in the leafs starting lineup next season. We need one more dependable, reliable defenceman that can play with phaneuf in my opinion. A guy who can move the puck and also play a gritty physical game. Like a Bieksa/Morris/Robidas type of player.

Something like

Bieksa/Robidas/Morris-Phaneuf
Gunnarson-Gardiner
Fraser-Franson

I put fraser in there only cuz i think Carlyle loves what farser brings to the table. Im fine with him too. I know some of you arent, so thats why im typing this

This may sound repetitive, but I really think we need to get Kadri's line working again. MacArthur is more-or-less a scoring specialist, while Frattin isn't able to crash the net very effectively.

The problem is that line and the top line is getting tired out. Randy experimented with Hamilton with Kadri so I don't see why Colborne isn't given a try. I say, limited minutes with Kadri may work.

Similarly, attempting to use Gardiner or Phaneuf as a puck mover isn't working well. We're getting way too hemmed in our zone, and need to consider placing Gardiner on the top pairing when maintaining leads. Allow him to be a puck rusher, because remaining in our zone is clearly killing us.

We need the Caps to win that 4:30pm game tomorrow. Caps and Leafs have either lost together or won together these playoffs when playing on the same day:

Saturday May 4th: W W
Monday May 6th: L L
Wednesday May 8th: L L
Friday May 10th: W W

Sunday May 12th: ? ?

Yup. On my 'keep' list:

Dion
Franson
Gardiner
Gunnar

Get two veteran guys (not ROB or Fraser) that have playoff experience.

Yeah.

Dion, Franson, Gunnar and Gardiner should be top 4 next year.

Trade Liles. Acquire two defenseman that can SKATE and defend. Fraser is the 7th D and say bye bye to Holzer, Kostka, ROB etc.

Let's hope Morgan Rielly can make the team next year.

This series proves that we should not be trading Gardiner for Couturier. When Couturier is shutting down Malkin, he's giving up 7-8 points head to head against him

As a Sens fan, I feel dirty for saying this, but I'm pulling for you guys. Watched the game last night and love the way your boys play. Just wouldn't quit against a more seasoned and experienced team. Love it.

Pretty much. We definitely need an upgrade in the D department.

I swear there should have been a commercial break during that time at the halfway mark of the period when the Leafs couldn't get the puck out of their zone. But guess what? They wait until the Bruins score

Because some geniuses on here considered him "expendable".

Is Ranger a possibility for next year?

Yes I think so with his AHL contract being over. Ranger would look great in our lineup.
