People are a *bit* too harsh on Smith, don't forget how Kronwall and Ericsson looked at that age. But obviously those who hoped Smith would be a Norris type D-man probably need to readjust their expectations.

Yeah, that's weird. The guy has a Conn Smythe. He has been at his best in clutch situations his whole career. He scores game winners at a higher clip than Crosby and yet never had an OT winner in the playoffs.

It obviously shouldn't have went to OT but thankfully the right team won last night. Game 7 is a toss-up because of how momentum and luck has flip-flopped throughout the series. The Wings could've won going away last night but they could've done that in Game 2 and could've done it in Game 5 but they've lost leads a few times.

The Ducks don't give up...I give them credit. Granted, last night was bad bounce-a-palooza but they also had to be in the right place for those two third period goals to happen. Flip leaves the puck for no one behind his own net but Etem was in the right place to take and jam it in. Howard deserved better than last night...he was awesome...at least he got the win.

Good to see Abby had a great game after coming back. Looks promising going to game 7.

The real good news is their coach throiwng Hiller under the buss in the press conference after the game.

Has he lost it?
I would not read too much into that. It is just his way of out coaching Babcock...

Well, he was also tossing his defense under the bus, because later on he stated that Hiller couldn't see any of the shots before they went in. Said his D was gunshy about trying to clear out in front. And after that came the refs.

So really, he's just flinging blame around all over the place.

So many blatant take downs by the Ducks were not called last night. Bruce can shove it.

I'll say it again. Eff the NHL for making a Game 7 at 10 PM on a Sunday night.

The Ducks are seriously blaming Hiller? Even though they didn't earn a single goal last night? All 3 were ******** gift goals that should never have happened.

sounds like our fanbase when howard lets in goals

on that note, howard's turnaround from games 1-3 to 4-6 have been phenomenal.

not as strange as it sounds at first, especially since DRW have usually lost OT games.

gordie howe and mario lemieux never scored an OT goal. neither did mark messier, who is 2nd to gretzky in playoff goals at 109.

but i think setoguchi scored 2 in that series in 2010. and i think niclas wallin scored 3 in 2002.

Howard has allowed 2-4-4-2-3-3, that makes it GAA 3, which is not good at all.
But this is Babcock's fault. The Wings did not make it difficult on Hiller, except game 6 FINALLY (better late than never), while the Ducks have been all over Howard and Howard's crease all series long.
Our advantage in this series should be goaltending, but it has not happened until game 6 when Our players finally went to the crease.
I do not get it why it took them/Babcock so long.
We also create good scoring chances for the Ducks, this can't stop, but we have to go after Hiller and make it real hard for him.
Though his Coach might have already done that

You are nuts. If it wasn't for Howard, the GAA would have been 6-7, not 3. With ****-for-defense that he plays with, it's amazing it's only 3!

Oh, and -- would it kill you to change your avatar? It's disturbing.

It will be a difficult game tomorrow. Ducks played well when they wore black jersey this series. Wouldn't be surprised if ice condition isn't great again for whatever the reason is.

Wings D needs to watch out Ducks fowards crashing the net. especially the one sneaking behind backdoor. I saw couple times when Ducks had the puck they immediately crowded the net from all different angle. Someone needs to watch out the back door for rebound. Just quick glance to check where they are.

Wings must establish their game early. (or at least try to) Can't try to feel it out. Must be in the zone and dish out as soon as the puck drops.

Keep the pressure on their D carrying the puck. Their forechecking pressure will be incredible tomorrow. Especially beginning of the game. Dont hold on to puck too long trying to make it work if you are D. Either dump it to neutral zone or pass it laterally.. or carry it yourself. It's alot better to alleviate pressure by passing it laterally than letting a forechecker get closer. Always have the backup plan ready before you get the puck. Have to do it in decisive manner.

I hope Filppula gets a good night sleep. He has a huge task tomorrow.
