Very happy for Leafs fans. My friend bought tickets after game 1 lol. Planning to buy it off of her.

That's what happens when you get the puck on net with bodies in front.

3-1 Wings.

What is it about the Wings and Ducks. Rollercoaster games ending up in OT more often than not.

Rangers rather be behind the net or on the side

Wow I didn't even realize the Kings scored last second in the 2nd. Did anyone catch a replay of it? How did it look like?

Penner came in and absolutely ripped one from the point. Elliott should have probably been a little bit further out of the net but it was a blast.

They don't have enough offense and Quick is much better than Elliot.

So jealous of the Kings, our team should be that good. But Dean Lombardi decided best to develop talent through draft rather than go for big name FAs like Gomez/Drury/Richards.

In 2006, if you told me Kings would win cup before Rangers, I would've called you crazy.

Pretty sure Kings went hard on Richards and Drury, but they said no, lucky for them.

Didn't the Kings have Gretzky make a presentation to Richards in hopes of getting him to sign there?

Problem with the Blues is they're an entire team of second liners. The one offensive dynamo they have in Tarasenko, it was his first dance and he had concussion issues this year and whether or not that affects his game going forward it TBD. He also had one in the KHL last season. At some point they're going to have to make a big trade, similar to what the Rangers did with Nash and hope it doesn't backfire in their faces and kill their depth.

Kings were a little ahead of the Rangers development wise because they drafted better than the Rangers in the early to mid part of the decade, and found some gems that contributed in later rounds, but they also made the right trades, and have a guy in Penner who shows up only in the postseason.

We all have to hope guys like Fasth, Lindberg, Miller, and maybe one of the Dmen can have the impact that Voynov, King, Nolan, etc. had on that team but that's TBD next season.

Yeah, St. Louis needs to add that game-breaking talent on offense to go along with the strong depth. They don't have that standout offensive name who finishes to 20 or even top 30 in NHL scoring that's a legit threat that other teams game plan around. They almost remind me of another Hitchcock team in the late 90s Dallas Stars who went out and added Brett Hull during free agency, but even that team already had a star top liner in Mike Modano. St. Louis doesn't even have one, though from what I've read Tarasenko could be one some time in the future. They could have used on this playoff year though.

Having Backes as a first line center and having to go up against Kopitar, Toews, Getzlaf, Datsyuk, Sedin, Thornton, etc. in the western conference just isn't a favorable matchup for St. Louis.

I think you're thinking of Gretzky, the Oilers and Schultz.

Nope. Gretzky was part of the Kings' presentation to get Richards to sign there. They were desperate. However, I doubt they feel bad about it now.

The Kings tried to wow premier free-agent forward Brad Richards on Friday with a pitch that included videotaped appeals from Wayne Gretzky and Kobe Bryant and a front-loaded offer worth nearly $60 million over nine years, but Richards decided to sleep on his decision and announce his choice Saturday.

"It's LA, nobody leaves" That's impressive they won 4 straight against STL, I thought they were done. Imagine they go on another 16-4 tear. Only 2 losses left.

Regardless of what happens in this game or series, I think the Islanders and their fans should be incredibly proud of how their team has played.
