Indeed! Speaking of Tippett; if we lose him I hope he doesn't sign with Vancouver as he deserves better than that organization.

Tonight is also historic for San Jose as the Sharks have their 1st playoff sweep ever.

Not going to lie I was completely sucked into that Sharks game, so much so that when they scored I jumped up and down and started celebrating, as much or possibly moreso than I did for most of the Coyotes games this year.

One less Canadian team to make the finals and one of the teams that really bother me booted in one fell swoop?

Thank you Sharks.

I was reading the Pens board today and most of their fans are calling for Tippett to replace Bylsma if the Pens implode again this year. Could you imagine what DT could accomplish if he had Crosby playing for him? Then again I'm not even sure Dave Tippett's tight checking defense can save Fleury from himself in the playoffs at this point.

It doesn't seem that the Torres hated lasted long in SJ. Their question is now not only do the Sharks re-sign him, but for how long of a term.

I'd like him back in Phoenix, but not for an overpayment.

Odds are he's going to be fired in the next couple weeks anyways.

Canucks are exactly the kind of team Tippett could really work with. Their top players are really responsible defensively and could really work well in his system.

haha San Jose found a team that jokes more than they do in the playoffs! Maybe their bad juju will be gone now.

I remember when Keith "Bench Warmer" Ballard was supposed to become our next captain. Good times.

Canucks are done and now we need St. Louis to finish off the Kings. Don't **** this one up Blues!

I swear that Vokoun slash triggered a serious of career destroying events like nobody could've predicted. He was actually still really good in Florida before that incident. It's how he got his bloated contract in the first place. He played really well for the Panthers for a short time. Then he damn near takes the head off of his own Vezina caliber goalie, his game completely shells up, he's ineffective and traded out of town to possibly the worst fit, system-wise, in the NHL, in a media mega market, where he's ripped to shreds and his games shells completely up. He's a shadow of a player. Sucks.

At least we've still got Brandon Gormley (in a roundabout way) to show for it. Haha.

I remember Ballard as a good player but was out of the country at the time and never saw this incident back in 2009. How random.

Ottawa has made its way to round 2 and will more than likely face the Pens unless the Islanders can fight back.

Chicago winning 1-0 in the 1st and will face San Jose in the 2nd Round if they win the series. I guess if this year is meant to be for San Jose then this is another team they would have to beat in a so called revenge tour.

EDIT: OOPS! Spoke too soon on who Chicago will face. My fault!

As much as I'd hate to see Turris excell, I'm gonna be rooting for the sens just because of how bad ass Maclean is.

Pens win the series 4-2 over the Isles and now it is the Sens vs Pens in Round 2.
I don't like either team.

Damn. I was pulling for the Islanders. They dominated most of the play tonight, tough way to go out on a goal like that in the final few minutes.

I hate to pull for the Pens but I am definitely not willing to pull for Kyle Turris.

San Jose? Blah
Chicago? Even more blah
Anaheim? Blah

Detroit? LA? absolutely not

why did St. Louis have to lose!

I guess I'll be cheering for an eastern conference team (as long as its not the pens)

It could be brutal in the West. Chicago and LA are in. Detroit is almost there (come on, Ducks). Looks like the Sharks are the Obi Wan Kenobi (my only hope).

Detroit's resilience has been impressive. Datsyuk is a God.

Boston vs Toronto and Rangers vs Capitals are going the distance and both Game 7's are tommorow night.

Game 7 between Detroit and Anaheim underway.

West:
I'll route for the Wings over the Blackhawks but I really wish the Ducks hadn't lost. I'll route for the Sharks over the Kings but I really don't think the Sharks have a chance.

East:
I hate routing for what amounts to an All-star team in Pitt but I can't route for Turris so that settles that. It won't matter anyway, I think Pitt is going to slaughter the Senators. While it's unclear what the other matchup will be, it doesn't matter in my case as whether it's the Caps or Rangers, I will be pulling for either over Toronto or Boston. Hope it's the Caps though!
