Not sure if he was the one to make those two crappy calls in the end, but man, no joke! Totally incompetent boob. The guy should be sent to ref novice b games never to be heard from again.

There is no relegation round. Two teams with least points just get relegated.

No doubt we should handle that 5 minute penalty a lot better and the game could have evolved differently. The second goal goes to Pavelec account but I don't blame him any way.

This is the best team we have sent overseas to this tourney. The team in Canada - 08 was good but this one may be better. Incredible forward depth.

Also have to say that I thought very little of the US entry but having watched them play 5 times - they are playing well and have the best looking PP in the tourney which is remarkable given it is not the most talented team on earth and there is so little prep time.

The North American teams look good.

I think you can blame typical Swedish political correctness for this - they are legally obligated to send at least one blind referee to every tournament. He actually does good work considering that he has to do without his guide dog.

Well nothing wrong with the american players, but Joe Sucko coaching a winning team is ..... not right

Honestly none of the teams in this tournament stand out, nor do any of them look good.

The only real team that really is impressive are the Swiss.

This years tournament is pretty boring.

I don't agree this is the best team we have sent either. Canada just has an abundance of talent that makes it seem like we do. The 08 team was much better, as was the 05 team (both on paper and on the ice). Even though both teams didn't win the championship, they made it to the final.

Undeserved defeat? You don't deserve a win more than Canada either. It's not like the Czechs dominated, not at all.

re: the Swiss. Diaz is on his way..and I imagine there are a few NY Islander players that are dying for a chance to get there for the 1/4 to suit up for the Swiss... They are going to be tough to stop. If Yzerman doesn't make 2 significant upgrades, then I don't like our chances of getting past the 1/2 final.

Not sure about that, Skinner did it really well but I would have to see it one more time to say my definite opinion
Either way, Pavelec was very good in this match. Again.

Agree. Canada is playing nice, but playing nice gets you where?

Vinnerborg is horribad, that's for sure. Other refs are more or less ok though.

Mediocre game for Canada. I like the way that the Czechs played, with high pressure and strong boardwork. The Duchene line looked good for Canada even though they didn't score. O'Reilly continues to look very good as well. Hamhuis was clearly the best defenceman on the team today, so it's good that he was picked up. An additional defenceman would be especially nice now that Schenn is looking at a likely suspension.

Well, it seems that Canada is playing a more defensive, patient game this year. It is working so far.

Canada outlasts Czech's 2-1. Dan Hamhuis has immediate impact as Lindy Ruff eases him into tourney. Leads all players with 22:39 ice time

What a game by Dan Hamhuis!! #goodgame #canada
Guy is a stud, he can play anywhere and be super consistent.

The guy made bieksa and edler look like superstar D-man's during the cup run

Part of Nashville's decline is his absence, you gotta think.

Absolutely, people thought hamhuis would be a good, but nobody thought he would be this good.

his #1 attribute is his skating, His skating is smooth, fast and can turn quickly, reminds me of Jay-bo as a skater.
