How would you feel about a deal around Edler + 1st round pick (20 something) for the 3rd overall pick?
We've already had this discussion. And no.

Fair enough. Thanks for the response and enjoy the years of exciting hockey watching Drouin and Stamkos dominate. There's a reason we want your pick.

Pretty much what warrior just said. No offence at all, just the value isn't there for us when you take Edler's contract into consideration and the fact that we could eventually be giving up the best player in the deal.

Plus, as I said before we're all just Drooluin at the prospect of Drouin & Stamkos forming a dynamic duo for years to come.

Anyway, because I'm afraid of getting threadbanned, I'll contribute to the topic.

Moose Fan chiming in here...

I can assure you guys that trading Drouin would be a mistake. I know it could seem like I'm biased being from Halifax but I've followed the Q for a while and Drouin is the most dominant Offensive player to come to the Q since Crosby. You see the chemisty of Giroux and Stamkos right now and I would describe Drouin as a more dynamic version of Giroux. Not saying he will develop as well as Giroux did (Though there no reason he wouldn't imo)
What I'm saying is that he's better than Giroux was in the Q. He's also better at 17 than Huberdeau was at 18 and I'm a huge fan of Huberdeau even though he was on our Rival Sea Dogs.

I think this year there are 3 #1 overall calibre picks and you guys have one of them. imo, the best course of action is to take Drouin and let him take the spot of a different forward that you can move for help at D

Who exactly is Giroux?

Claude Giroux, forgot you guys may not have coverage of the World Championships, but Stamkos and Giroux have been on a line together for Team Canada

I expected you mean Claude, but I didn't know they play together on a line as I don't follow the WC much.

Is Stamkos playing C or wing on his line? Who is the 3rd guy on his line?

I guess the Islanders are going to trade their entire draft at some point before Snow is done

That trade doesn't really help us though.
