Boarding .. good call .. open your eyes.
That wasn't dirty but it's the right definition for boarding.

Not suspension worthy, and a borderline major. His elbow was a bit high. I personally don't mind hits to the head getting majors, as long as the calls are consistent.

I believe it was the right call. Need to protect the player. The hit, while not "dirty" by the book, was still dangerous.
Take the same hit but against a habs player and most people here will be asking for a suspension.

well it's really because he hit him so damn hard, and it was sort of coming from behind, and there was some charging too...
and it doesnt help that dimaio is so tiny...
i agree that there was material for a penalty, but there must of been something else for the game misconduct though...

According to the NHL rulebook
Quote:
Boarding : Any player who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently into the boards (2 minutes,5 or a game misconduct).
So it was definitely boarding, but it was at the referee's discretion whether to give him 2, 5 or a game misconduct.

Damn the viagra add is still under the Habs bench
That hit was an elbow imo , it was not from behind. I don't like how Kosty lost the puck , but that was a sucker pass.

Who cares? Seriously.
The golden boy gets a penalty and a game misconduct in a PRE SEASON game you guys are catching feelings over it. It wasn't even that bad a call.
Get real guys.

i was at the game and he came from the faceoff circle and never tried to stop or slowdown at all... i still don't think he deserved a game misconduct, but certainly a 2 min for boarding.
