I've seen Disgruntled post a couple things in the past week or so, but DaveT has completely vanished following Kessel's hot streak at the end of the regular season. I got my posts deleted for continually calling him a troll, but it's quite obvious now that that's exactly what he was.
HFBoards needs a tagging system like ******. Tag a poster as a troll, never take their opinion seriously again.
In regards to Kessel, he stepped up against his former team these playoffs. Definitely got the monkey off his back, it's just a damn shame we couldn't win it. He played well, and has nothing to be ashamed of, he proved his critics wrong.
So...6 points in 7 games. How do you like them apples ?
On TSN Hockey2Nite they had a segment asking if Toronto can win with Kessel as a core piece. He scored in the clutch, played two-way hockey and wasn't afraid to get physical when needed. Not to mention this was all done against Boston. Toronto media sure does love to point fingers and give reasoning later.
This series was the best thing that could have happened to Kessel. He has no reason to fear them any more and the questions (should) stop. If anything people should now start to question Tyler Seguin. Phil showed up big time and I think earned some of the Bruins respect too. #thankyoukessel.
Well this is a big EFF YOU to those people who said kessel would crumble in the playoffs against a defensive team.
6 points, 4 goals, 2 game winning goals.
I don't know what else he could have done besides knocking down chara, Oh wait...
Kessel is not the problem. Never was. Never will be. Reimer is not the problem. Never was. Never will be. Lupul/JVR/Kadri/McClement not the problem...never were and never will be. The problem is behind the blue line. For the last 10 years. Reimer saved these shmucks with stellar play. The giveaway machine was bailed out all series long. Reimer couldn't do it last night though. Only so far a good goalie can take an abysmal defence. The offense is in better shape than the D...for sure.
