Apparently Jamie McBain won the Norris in my 2019-2020 season of Be a GM with Colorado. We clearly should keep him. 50 points in 81 games with a +37.

Did anybody else here used to post on Fanhome?

I ask because I found this via a Montreal Expos board:

http://web.archive.org/web/200407101...olinacanesfrm1

Fun to look at some of that stuff, too bad it doesn't go back to 02.

Yep, and there's a few of those guys that I wish had made the way over to here when that site was starting to dwindle.

16 - 36 = 25 - 45 ----------------> Both yield -20
+81/4......+81/4 -----------> Add a square to both sides
(4 - 9/2)˛ = (5 - 9/2)˛ -----------------> Simplify (Non expanded form)
4 - 9/2 = 5 - 9/2 -----------> Square root and subtract
4 = 5
2 + 2 = 5

We now have something we can officially trot out to the idiots who deride Raleigh as a redneck wasteland.

http://www.movoto.com/blog/top-ten/1...edneck-cities/

1. Atlanta, GA
2. Kansas City, MO
3. Oklahoma City, OK
4. Nashville, TN
5. Tulsa, OK
6. Fort Worth, TX
7. Arlington, TX
8. Sacramento, CA
9. Cleveland, OH
10. Mesa, AZ

So to all of those out there claiming Raleigh is redneck...

Might be the part of Atlanta that I'm at, but I have seen WAY more rednecks in my time in the Triangle than I have in Atlanta.

I've been to Atlanta many times. Redneck is not a word I would use to describe it. I could see Athens, GA being No. 1 tho.

FWIW, the rankings were based on the following criteria:
  • Percent of population that didn’t complete high school
  • Number of gun and ammo stores per capita
  • Number of taxidermists per capita
  • Number of cowboy boot stores per capita
  • Number of country radio stations per capita
  • Number of NASCAR race tracks close by
  • Number of Walmarts per capita
  • Number of riding lawn mower/tractor repair shops per capita

I think the education level and dearth of NASCAR race tracks in the area helped our standing.

Anybody want to start a 'Canes board hockey team? It will be a hilarious trainwreck. We can call ourselves "Anton Babchuk's Internet Warriors".

Just gauging interest.
