Interesting fact about lemieux's career

mario lemieux is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, but i noticed this the other day. Doug jarvis played more games consecutively then mario lemieux did in his entire career. that just goes to show you just how great of a feat it was for jarvis to do it

It's not a secret Lemieux could have looked after his fitness a lot better, not smoked for example and all at, but he also took a lot more abuse than a guy like Jarvis. People were literally hanging on his back at times.
