Devils, Canucks, Coyotes, Sharks and Avs are also as thin or worse.

I would put the Leafs ahead of us, however.

Ya I'd put us lower third, but much improved since 2011 though...
Although we'll drop near the bottom if we graduate Scheif and Trouba

Leafs prospect pool is pretty meh if you don't count Kadri. We also are better than the Rangers, Bruins, Canes, Preds, Oilers( discounting Yakupov ) and the Flames.

We have two top 15 prospects. Not many teams can claim that.

Bluechip prospects > a buncha maybes

I like hockey's future for individual assessments... but due to their methods in how they produce their lists, they are really just a waste of time to read or get worked up about.

There is absolutely zero consistency in how consolidate these resources... I could go on but ya...

Basically there are a lot of lists out there that I may or may not agree with but at least they are consistent and you know why they ordered it in a particular fashion (one example: Hockey Prospectus), but HF when they seem to bring the team's info together seems more like a throw **** at the wall and see what sticks method.

Not very physical and only probably average for a top pairing CHLer defensively. Outside of him and Kadri (who doesn't count as a prospect) I see little potential top line, or even top 6 talent in the Leafs prospect pool. Hence the 'meh'

Is it the Jet's goal to eventually have an all "Zach" defense?

They could take a late round stab at Zach Bell out of Brampton to keep to keep it rolling. Either that or sign him as a U-UFA. #AquireAllZachs

3 more days and we lose Yuen and Brassard. I am completely perplexed as to how Yuen does not have a contract.

Agent is probably trying to hold out for second round money and Jets are probably not budging.

Or the Jets haven't offered him a contract. We really don't know. Agents are always the boogeymen that fans point at, but in reality it could be any number of things.

True, but I don't see why they wouldn't offer him a contracact.

Same. He is such a smooth skater and he is very smart defensively. Even if they think he is a bit of a long shot for the NHL, he has upside and AHL level defensive depth is a problem. Perhaps Chevy is disappointed that he didn't grow another couple inches.

I would be very disappointed if we do not sign Yuen
I think he has done enough to warrant an ELC and to see if he can develop in St. John's.

I think we also traded up in the draft to select this guy; also would seem to go against the "draft and develop" philosophy if we give up on prospects who would seem to still have potential

As for Brassard, he has not really shown any significant improvement that has been consistent or effective; I would only offer him an ATO or AHL contract, and if he does not accept then I would let him walk.
