It definitely is a very good summary of the whole series, pretty much. And I love that they're giving us an idea as to who this psycho is. After all, he will be a very hated person soon, so why not see just how much of a monster he is? Worse than Joffrey, by a hundredfold. I didn't think we'd see him so soon, but I'm glad we did. They're showing us a lot of potential storylines that will play big factors in the coming 2-3 seasons, which is always nice.
Hahahha, I love the Blackfish and Edmure scenes. Blackfish is especially a great casting, as usual. I can count only on one hand the amount of actors on this show that I don't agree with being casted. Considering this show has... 22 important characters actively, that's pretty ****ing impressive.
Slight spoilery thoughts:
Also, if there is anything to go on by the Tywin and Olenna scene, I think Ros' death is going to escalate them to make some big moves very soon. Which is strange, because Ros is the show's only original character, that never appeared in the books. Should be interesting to see if that's what happens.
Oh god I don't know whether to laugh or shield my eys.
See I am admittedly a nut about details, and I discuss said details with other detail freaks on message boards, so I don't really know if the show is doing a good enough job in letting the viewers in on who Theon's torturer is. I think the clues are pretty clear to make a good guess. Who Robb sent to take back Winterfell in season 2, what is Theon tied to. 2+2 seems to equal 4 in this case despite the mind****ery going on.
Also read a bunch of people saying they think all the Theon stuff is pointless torture porn, but to me it seems to have a purpose. All signs point to this kid being an important character going forward (if he is who I know he is) and thus it is important to establish that he is a crazy sadist, but in a totally different way then Goff.
Also I don't know how anyone couldn't enjoy his acting. Read reviews that these scenes are just Theon screaming...totally ignores this guy chewing the scenery for breakfast.
I feel like I ended up being the one most tortured after the Theon scene last night.
I thought the show clued us in nicely on who the torturer is.
"Devils just trap trap trap trap. Sure it's a modified trap different than LeMaire's but even with two forecheckers they have the defense sitting back with the third guy clogging up the middle of the ice." - explanation of how the Devils still employ the trap
I heard on the radio that Daft Punk had said that their new record sucks
On another subject, i caught The Social Network on TV the other night. I had never watched it because i always thought it would be another sucky film, but it was good, i can recommend it to anyone interested in entrepreneurship and business. Only cold hearted mother****ers make it into top 1%.
It will be interesting to see how the last season plays out now. I thought it would have ended with Barney & Robin's wedding since that is where the season started, so I was a little surprised.
I thought so too. Perhaps they changed plans at one point when the cast decided to come back for this one last season. I wonder if next seasons actually going to show Ted realizing that she will be the one or just how that will all play out. I say this because some people thought the show would literally end when he meets her, because all of the other episodes showed "how I met your mother". I would think the beginning of the last season will be Barney and Robins wedding though and the rest of the season will be showing Ted and the mothers relationship.
What made you like it so much? I haven't run into anyone yet who would say they loved it but most of my friends rated it higher than me. (6 out of 10)
I just liked how they focused a lot on Stark's emotional battle and how they made it a point of how it not only affected him but Iron Man as well. Basically not all superheros are invincible, that kind of jazz. Reminded me a little of Nolan's version of Batman, which is probably why I liked it so much.
